Kaum Ibu (Women's Group)

Kaum Ibu (Women's Group) is a women's rights organisation in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. [1] [2] [3] In 2001 and 2004 the group was part of consultations on transport and regional services, led by the Government of Australia's Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital and External Territories. [4] [5] The chairperson of the organisation is Danie Olbio. [1]

Danie Olbio, also Nek Namira is a librarian and women's rights activist from the Cocos (Keeling) Islands. She is a librarian on Home Island and is chairperson of Kaum Ibu. In 2015 she was secretary of Persatuan Kebudayaan Pulu Kokos.
