PARCO Coastal Refinery Limited Project

The latest estimates for setting up an oil refinery project by Abu Dhabi's International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) is $5 billion. This will increase substantially, as the project now will include a petrochemical city, power generation plant, a port and other necessary infrastructure. [1]

It is of the type known as a hoodoo or "fairy chimney" and which could fancifully be construed as resembling a crowned and skirted female figure looking toward the horizon. It is situated approximately 190 km (120 mi) from the Pakistan's financial hub, Karachi, Sindh, and approximately 717 km (446 mi) from the provincial capital, Quetta.
