Kuusiokunnat is a subdivision of Southern Ostrobothnia and one of the Sub-regions of Finland since 2009.
The name means "six municipalities", which refers to how many municipalities there were in the sub-region when it was established. Nowadays it only contains three municipalities.

Lapland is the largest and northernmost region of Finland. The 21 municipalities in the region cooperate in a Regional Council. Lapland borders the region of North Ostrobothnia in the south. It also borders the Gulf of Bothnia, Norrbotten County in Sweden, Troms and Finnmark County in Norway, and Murmansk Oblast and the Republic of Karelia in Russia. Topography varies from vast mires and forests of the South to fells in the North. The Arctic Circle crosses Lapland, so polar phenomena such as the midnight sun and polar night can be viewed in Lapland.
Kirkkonummi is a municipality of 40,851 inhabitants in southern Finland. The literal meaning of the words "Kirkkonummi" and "Kyrkslätt" in English is "church heath".
Joensuu is a city and municipality in North Karelia, Finland, located on the northern shore of Lake Pyhäselkä at the mouth of the Pielinen River (Pielisjoki). It was founded in 1848. The population of Joensuu is 77,480, and the economic region of Joensuu has a population of 115,000. It is the 12th largest city in Finland. The nearest major city, Kuopio in North Savonia, is located 136 kilometres (85 mi) to the west. From Joensuu, the distance to Lappeenranta, the capital of South Karelia, is 233 kilometres (145 mi) along Highway 6.

Oulunsalo is former municipality in the region of Northern Ostrobothnia, in Finland. Along with Haukipudas, Kiiminki and Yli-Ii it lost its municipal status and was merged with the city of Oulu on 1 January 2013. The municipality had a population of 9,746 and covered an area of 211.22 square kilometres (81.55 sq mi), of which 127.86 km2 (49.37 sq mi) is water. The population density is 116.915/km2 (302.81/sq mi). The municipality was founded in 1882.
Uusimaa is a region of Finland. It borders the regions of Southwest Finland, Tavastia Proper (Kanta-Häme), Päijänne Tavastia (Päijät-Häme), and Kymenlaakso. Finland's capital and largest city, Helsinki, along with the surrounding Greater Helsinki area, are both contained in the region, and Uusimaa is Finland's most populous region. The population of Kauhajoki is 12,723 and the municipality covers an area of 1,299.10 km2 (501.59 sq mi) of which 16.46 km2 (6.36 sq mi) is inland water. The population density is 9.79/km2 (25.4/sq mi). The town is unilingually Finnish.

Ostrobothnia is a region in western Finland. It borders the regions of Central Ostrobothnia, South Ostrobothnia, and Satakunta. It is one of four regions considered modern-day Ostrobothnia, hence it is also referred to as Coastal Ostrobothnia to avoid confusion.
Tuusula is a municipality of Finland. It belongs to the Helsinki sub-region of the Uusimaa region. The municipality has a population of 40,427 (28 February 2023) and is by far the third largest municipality in Finland after Nurmijärvi and Kirkkonummi that does not use the town or city title by itself.

Jyväskylä sub-region is a subdivision of Central Finland and one of the Sub-regions of Finland since 2009. It covers the area around the city of Jyväskylä. With its 178 413 inhabitants it is 6th biggest sub-region in Finland.
