Lincoln High School was a public high school in the Canton City School District from 1926 until 1976.

The Canton City School District is a public school district serving students in Canton, Ohio, The school district enrolls 9,087 students as of the 2014-2015 academic year. The district also serves small sections of Canton and Plain townships, as well as the village of Meyers Lake.

The Lincoln Lions were members of the Hall of Fame Conference for football. [2]

Due to low enrollment, Lincoln and Lehman High School were closed as traditional high schools at the end of the 1975-76 school year and became junior highs. [3] The Lincoln building would eventually house Heritage Christian School in 1979. [4]

Lehman High School (Canton, Ohio)

Lehman High School was a public high school in the Canton City School District. It was named for John House Lehman, "in honor of his extensive, untiring, and unselfish efforts for the public school system." It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 24, 2017.

Heritage Christian School is a private, nondenominational Christian school located in Canton, Ohio. The school occupies what was formerly Lincoln High School and serves children from preschool to 5th grade. Previously, the middle and high school, sixth to 12th grade at Heritage Christian had their sports teams are nicknamed the "Conquerors." Don Nehlen former American football player and coach

Donald Eugene Nehlen is a former American football player and coach. He was head football coach at Bowling Green State University (1968–1976) and at West Virginia University (1980–2000). Nehlen retired from coaching college football in 2001 with a career record of 202–128–8 and as the 17th winningest coach in college football history. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2005 and has served as a president of the American Football Coaches Association.

Dave Wottle American middle distance runner

David James Wottle is an American retired middle-distance track athlete. He was the gold medalist in the 800 meter run at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. He was known for wearing a golf cap while running.

The venue hosts the annual Hall of Fame Game, along with various high school and college football games. Dedicated in 1938, the stadium's original name honored the memory of John A. Bill Doolittle American football player and coach

Francis William Doolittle was an American football player and coach. Doolittle attended high school in Mansfield, Ohio where he was selected as an all-state quarterback in his senior year. He enrolled at Ohio State University in 1941. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1943, served 53 months in the military and earned a Bronze Star for his service in the Pacific Theater before returning to Ohio State. He played college football as quarterback for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team in 1946 and 1947.
