This is a list of player movements for Super Rugby teams prior to the end of the 2021 Super Rugby season. Departure and arrivals of all players that were included in a Super Rugby squad for 2020 or 2021 are listed here, regardless of when it occurred. Future-dated transfers are only included if confirmed by the player or his agent, his former team or his new team.

Contents

In addition to the main squad, teams can also name additional players that train in backup or development squads for the franchises. These players are denoted by (wider training group) for New Zealand teams, or (development squad) for Australian teams.

Argentina

Jaguares

The Jaguares were not named in a Super Rugby season in 2021. They had been rumoured to be joining an expanded Súper Liga Americana de Rugby competition, but were not named in the 2021 season of the tournament. [1] The Jaguares won't play in 2021 and all players will depart the team either overseas, or enter the draft for the 2021 Súper Liga Americana de Rugby season. [2]

In March 2019, the Japan Rugby Football Union announced that the Sunwolves Super Rugby licence would be discontinued, [45] after failing to negotiate a new contract with SANZAAR for the 2021 season due to financial considerations.

This is a list of J.League designated special players, picked by J.League clubs from universities and high schools all over Japan.

The 2017 Nagoya Grampus season is Nagoya Grampus' 1st season in the J2 League following their relegation at the end of the 2016 season.

The 2019 J1 League, also known as the 2019 Meiji Yasuda J1 League for sponsorship reasons, was the 27th season of the J1 League, the top Japanese professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1993.

The 2019 Nagoya Grampus season was Nagoya Grampus' second season back in the J1 League following their relegation at the end of the 2016 season, their 26th J1 League season and 36th overall in the Japanese top flight. They were knocked out of the Emperor's Cup in the Second Round by National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya and reached the Quarterfinal of the J. League Cup where they were knocked out by Kawasaki Frontale.

The 2020 Nagoya Grampus season was Nagoya Grampus' 3rd season back in the J1 League following their relegation at the end of the 2016 season, their 27th J1 League season and 37th overall in the Japanese top flight. Nagoya Grampus finished the season in Third Position, qualifying for the Play-off Round of the 2021 AFC Champions League. Due to finishing third, Nagoya Grampus did not qualify for the re-formatted 2020 Emperor's Cup, which if a J1 team were to win would put Nagoya Grampus directly into the AFC Champions League Group Stage.

Shogo Nakano is a Japanese rugby union player who plays as a Centre. He currently plays for Suntory Sungoliath in Top League.

Kyo Yoshida is a Japanese rugby union player who plays as a Flanker or Number 8. He currently plays for Sunwolves in Super Rugby.

Jumpei Ogura is a Japanese rugby union player who plays as a Fly-half. He currently plays for Sunwolves in Super Rugby.

The 2020 season is Kawasaki Frontale's 16th consecutive season in the J1 League, which they won for their third league title in four seasons. They also will compete in the Emperor's Cup and J.League Cup, the latter of which they are defending champions.

The 2020 season is Kashima Antlers's 28th consecutive season in the J1 League, the top flight of Japanese football, since the introduction of professional football in 1993. The club finished the 2019 J1 League in third place, securing a play-off spot in the 2020 AFC Champions League. In addition to these competitions, they also competed in the Emperor's Cup and J.League Cup.

Kenta Fukuda is a Japanese rugby union player who plays as a scrum-half. He currently plays for Toyota Verblitz in Japan's domestic Japan Rugby League One. He was signed to the Sunwolves squad for the 2020 Super Rugby season, but did not make an appearance for the side.

The Volleyball 2019–20 V.League Division 1 Men's was the 26th tournament of the V.League and the highest level men's tournament in Japan, which was held from October 26, 2019 – February 29, 2020.
