The following is a list of Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball head coaches. There have been 18 head coaches of the Buffaloes in their 120-season history. [1]

Colordao's current head coach is Tad Boyle. He was hired as the Buffaloes' head coach in April 2010, [2] replacing Jeff Bzdelik, who left to become the head coach at Wake Forest. [3]

Daniel Ricardo Manning is an American college basketball coach and former professional player who is the Associate Head Mens Basketball Coach at the University of Louisville. Manning played high school basketball at Walter Hines Page High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, as well as Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas. He played college basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks, and played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 14 years. After retiring from professional basketball Manning became an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Kansas. He won the national championship with the Jayhawks in 1988 as a player, and again as an assistant in 2008. He is the all-time leading scorer in Kansas basketball history with 2,951 points. Mark Edward Pope is an American basketball coach and former player who is the nineteenth and current head coach of the Brigham Young University men's basketball team. He played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats, where he was part of the Wildcats' 1996 NCAA championship team, and the Washington Huskies, where he was the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year. He later played professionally in the National Basketball Association for the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets.

Ricardo Maurice Patton is an American college basketball coach who most recently served as senior advisor to the head men's basketball coach at Vanderbilt University. On March 9, 2011, NIU announced that Patton would not return as their head coach for the 2011–12 season, it is unclear whether he resigned or was fired. Prior to this, he was the head coach at the University of Colorado. He was hired as head coach for the Buffaloes on March 5, 1996, just days before the Big Eight Conference Tournament. Patton guided the Buffaloes to six postseason appearances. On July 11, 2011 it was announced that Patton joined the University of Maryland Eastern Shore as an assistant coach.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's basketball team represents Wake Forest University in NCAA Division I college basketball and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Wake Forest made the Final Four in 1962. Through the years, the program has produced many NBA players, among them are Hall of Famer Tim Duncan, 12× All-Star Chris Paul, 1× All-Star Jeff Teague, Sixth Man of the Year Rodney Rogers, and 1× All-Star Josh Howard. The Demon Deacons have won the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament four times, in 1961, 1962, 1995, and 1996. Wake Forest has appeared in 23 NCAA tournaments, most recently appearing in 2017. The current coach is Steve Forbes, who was hired on April 30, 2020.

Steven James McClain is an assistant basketball coach at Texas. He was most recently head coach at the University of Illinois Chicago. Prior to UIC, he had spent five seasons on the staff of Tom Crean at Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team.

Thomas Martin "Tad" Boyle is an American college basketball coach who is the men's head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes of the Pac-12 Conference. He was named the 18th coach in Colorado men's basketball history on April 19, 2010, replacing Jeff Bzdelik. Boyle was named as an assistant coach for USA Basketball a second time in 2015. He played collegiately at Kansas under coach Ted Owens and Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown.

Vance Desmond Joseph is an American football coach and former player who is the defensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). As a player, Joseph attended the University of Colorado as a quarterback and running back in the 1990s, and was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 1995, playing cornerback for them and then the Indianapolis Colts in 1996. After spending 12 years as a defensive coach in the NFL with San Francisco (2005–10), Houston (2011–13), Cincinnati (2014–15) and Miami (2016), Joseph was hired as head coach by the Denver Broncos in 2017, serving until he was fired after the 2018 season. After his first tenure with the Broncos, Joseph served as defensive coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals from 2019 to 2022, before being hired by the Broncos as defensive coordinator in 2023.

The 2010–11 Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's basketball team represented Wake Forest University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team's head coach was Jeff Bzdelik, who was hired after the firing of Dino Gaudio. The team played its home games at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and was a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 8–24, 1–15 in ACC play and lost in the first round of the ACC tournament to Boston College.

The Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball team represents the University of Mississippi in the sport of basketball. The Rebels compete in the NCAA Division I and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They started the 2015–16 season playing home games at Tad Smith Coliseum on the university's Oxford campus, but played their final game in that facility on December 22, 2015. The Rebels opened a new on-campus arena, The Pavilion at Ole Miss, on January 7, 2016. The Rebels were led by 12-year head coach Andy Kennedy until his resignation on February 18, 2018. Tony Madlock, an assistant under Kennedy, served as the interim head coach for the remainder of the 2017–18 season. On March 15, 2018, the school hired former Middle Tennessee head coach Kermit Davis as the new head coach and was formally introduced on March 19. Davis was fired in his sixth season on February 24, 2023, after posting a 2–13 conference record with two games remaining on the schedule. Assistant coach Win Case took over as interim coach for the remainder of the season.

The 2011–12 Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's basketball team represented Wake Forest University in the 2011–2012 NCAA college basketball season. The head coach was Jeff Bzdelik, who was coaching in his second season at Wake Forest. The team played its home games at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and was a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. After another below .500 season, Athletic Director Ron Wellman reaffirmed with an, "Oh, Heavens Yes" that his longtime close friend Head Coach Jeff Bzdelik would continue to be the coach of the Wake Forest men's basketball team for the foreseeable future. In Bzdelik's first 2 seasons, 7 players transferred from the program, while Bzdelik managed to win only 5 ACC games.

The 2011–12 Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team represented the University of Colorado in the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Head coach Tad Boyle was in his second season at Colorado. This was their first year as members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the regular season with 24–12 overall, 11–7 in Pac-12 play. They won the 2012 Pac-12 Conference men's basketball tournament and earned a trip to the 2012 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament with an 11 seed in south. They defeated UNLV in the second round before they lost to Baylor in the third round.

The 2013–14 Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team represented the University of Colorado in the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Head coach Tad Boyle was in his fourth season at Colorado. They were members of the Pac-12 Conference and played their home games at the Coors Events Center. They were dismantled by Pittsburgh in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The 2015–16 Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team represented the University of Colorado in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was Tad Boyle's sixth season as head coach at Colorado. The Buffaloes played their home games at Coors Events Center in Boulder, Colorado and were members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 22–12, 10–8 in Pac-12 play to finish in fifth place. The defeated Washington State in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to Arizona. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the first round to UConn.

The 2017–18 Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team represented the University of Colorado in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by head coach Tad Boyle in his eighth season at Colorado. The Buffaloes played their home games at Coors Events Center in Boulder, Colorado as members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 17–15, 8–10 in Pac-12 play to finish in a tie for eighth place. They defeated Arizona State in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to Arizona.

Jéan-Edúard Prioleau is an American college basketball coach. He is currently assistant coach at Stephen F. Austin State University. Previously, he was head men's basketball coach at San Jose State from 2017 to 2021.

The 1996–97 Colorado Buffaloes Men's basketball team represented the University of Colorado in the 1996–97 season. Led by first-year head coach Ricardo Patton, and sophomore Guard Chauncey Billups, the Buffaloes made the NCAA tournament despite only having won nine games the previous year. Billups, was particularly impressive this particular season. Billups earned Big 12 Player of the year honors as well as all-American honors. Following this season, Billups would declare his eligibility for the NBA draft, being selected third overall in 1997. Following his career end, Billups' number would be retired by the Buffaloes. As Head Coach of the Buffaloes, Patton had been appointed after having been named interim head coach the prior season. Patton would stay head coach of the Buffaloes until 2007.

The Buffaloes play their home games at CU Events Center in Boulder, Colorado in their last season as members of the Pac-12 Conference before they rejoin the Big 12 Conference in the 2024–25 season.
