Lower Mill is a historic grist mill located at Honeoye Falls in Monroe County, New York, USA. The 3- to 4 12-story stone structure was built about 1829. The mill operated into the 1930s, and the structure was subsequently used by a creamery, oil company, and for community use. [2] A restaurant and gallery now operates in the structure.

Honeoye Falls, New York Village in New York, United States

Honeoye Falls is a village within the town of Mendon in Monroe County, New York. The population was 2,674 at the 2010 census. The village includes a small waterfall on Honeoye Creek, which flows through the village and gives it its name. The name Honeoye comes from the Seneca word ha-ne-a-yah, which means lying finger, or where the finger lies. The name comes from the local story of a Native American whose finger was bitten by a rattlesnake and who therefore cut off his finger with a tomahawk.

Creamery

In a dairy, the creamery is the location of cream processing. Cream is separated from whole milk; pasteurization is done to the skimmed milk and cream separately. Whole milk for sale has had some cream returned to the skimmed milk.

The complex consists of the farmhouse and the following contributing structures: garage, smokehouse, pump house, clothes drying pole, privy, barn, two silos, and gate posts. The farmhouse consists of a ​2 12-story main block with ​1 12-story kitchen wing, built in the mid-19th century and remodeled in 1877 and again about 1900.

The Lehigh Valley Railroad built the station in 1905 but stopped using the station for passenger service in the 1950s. Later the station was used as a bus terminal and then as a night club. Enfield Falls Mill and Millers House

Enfield Falls Mill and Miller's House, also known as Treman House and Mill, is a historic grist mill and former millowner's residence located at Robert H. Treman State Park near Ithaca in Tompkins County, New York. The mill is a ​2 12-story frame structure over a stone foundation. It is a turbine powered mill constructed in 1839. The mill has three runs of stones: one for griding buckwheat, one for grinding wheat, and a third for grinding coarser grain. The mill ceased operation in 1917. The millowner's house is a simple but elegant vernacular Greek Revival–style dwelling. The house consists of a ​1 12-story main section, with a slightly lower L-shaped wing. It serves as home for the park superintendent.

Hanford Mill

Hanford Mills Museum, also known as Kelso Mill, is a historic grist mill and sawmill and national historic district located at East Meredith, New York in Delaware County, New York. The district contains nine contributing buildings and three contributing structures. The complex includes both natural and structural facilities. It includes a mill race from Kortright Creek to the damned up Mill Pond which supplies the waterwheel, a spillway for the pond's overflow, a section of old New York Central Railroad track, two railroad bridges crossing Kortright Creek, and a variety of buildings. The main structure is a mill building dating to the 1820s with additions from the 1870s, 1880s, and 1890s. The four story wood frame structure is approximately 150 feet long and 120 feet high. Also on the property is a one-story depot building with grain elevator and storage facilities. It is now operated as a museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Perkins Tide Mill former tide mill in Kennebunkport, Maine, United States

The Perkins Tide Mill was one of the last surviving 18th-century tide mills in the United States. Located on Mill Lane in Kennebunkport, Maine, it was built in 1749 and operated until 1939. It was destroyed by an arsonist in 1994. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, the property's present owners, the Kennebunkport Conservation Trust, are contemplating construction of a replica.

They are the industrial sites and power sources from which the adjoining village of Stuyvesant Falls derived its livelihood. It includes the Upper and Lower Falls and mill dams; on the east bank of Kinderhook Creek the sites of a grist mill and paper mill, cotton mill, woolen mill complex and extant hydroelectric plant; west bank operations including three extant 19th century cotton mills and several dwellings. Also included is an iron truss bridge erected in 1899.
