Maciej Silski (also known as Maciek Silski, born 10 January 1976 in Kwidzyn, Poland) is a Polish singer who rose to fame in his country after winning Idol Poland 4 , the Polish version of Pop Idol , televised by Polsat. He won with 53.58% of the vote in a three-way final on 18 June 2005.
Silski was one of 15 national finalists of the OGAE Poland competition to find a national representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. He performed the song he co-wrote titled Za karę but did not win.

Idol is a television show on the Polish television network Polsat, based on the popular British show Pop Idol. The show is a contest to determine the best young singer in Poland. It is hosted by Maciej Rock.
The Sopot International Song Festival or Sopot Festival is an annual international song contest held in Sopot, Poland. It is the biggest Polish music festival altogether with the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, and one of the biggest song contests in Europe.
Disco polo is a genre of popular dance music, created in Poland in the 1980s. It was initially known as sidewalk music or backyard music. This genre, a type of Polish urban folk music, had great popularity in the 1990s, peaking in 1995–1997, then gradually declining in popularity through the early 21st century. The genre then had a resurgence in the winter of 2007. The Polish PWN dictionary defines the genre as a Polish variant of disco music, with simple melodies and often ribald lyrics.
Poland has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 25 times since its debut in 1994. Although Poland did not become a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) until 1993, earlier contests had often been broadcast on Telewizja Polska (TVP), the Polish broadcaster.
Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song "Czarna dziewczyna" written by Łukasz Lazer, Michał Szymański and Ivan Komarenko. The song was performed by Ivan and Delfin. In December 2004, the Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) announced that the Polish entry for the 2005 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine would be selected through an internal selection. "Czarna dziewczyna" performed by Ivan and Delfin was announced as the Polish entry on 29 January 2005 during the TVP1 programme Stratosfera.
Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "Love Song" written by Tatiana Okupnik and Paweł Rurak-Sokal. The song was performed by the band Blue Café. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) organised the national final Krajowe Eliminacje do Konkursu Piosenki Eurowizji 2004 in order to select the Polish entry for the 2004 contest in Istanbul, Turkey. The national final took place on 24 January 2004 and featured fifteen entries. "Love Song" performed by Blue Café was selected as the winner after gaining the most votes from the public with 57,125 votes.
Jakub Władysław "Kuba" Wojewódzki, is a Polish journalist, TV personality, drummer, and comedian.
Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Time to Party" written by Kamil Varen, David Junior Serame and Mateusz Krezan. The song was performed by the duo The Jet Set. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) organised the national final Piosenka dla Europy 2007 in order to select the Polish entry for the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. The national final took place on 3 February 2007 and featured ten entries. "Time to Party" performed by The Jet Set was selected as the winner after gaining the most public votes.
CCC Development Team is a UCI Continental cycling team based in Poland. Formerly CCC-Mat, the team became known as CCC-Polsat in 2002. In 2004 and 2005, the team was known as Hoop CCC-Polsat, reverting to CCC-Polsat in 2006. From 2007 to 2011, the team was known as CCC-Polsat-Polkowice (abbreviated to CCC-Polsat), and team kit colours are orange and black.
Maciej "Maciek" Kuś is a Polish former competitive figure skater. He is the 2004–05 Polish national champion, and competed once at the European Figure Skating Championships, where he placed 27th. He competed twice at the World Figure Skating Championships, placing 31st in 2003 and 34th in 2005. He was 23rd at the 2002 Junior Worlds and placed 16th at the 2005 Winter Universiade.

Television returned to Poland in 1952 and for several decades was controlled by the communist government. Colour television was introduced in Poland in 1971. Twoja twarz brzmi znajomo is a Polish talent show broadcast by Polsat that is based on the Spanish version of the series. The show involves eight celebrities and/or artists portraying various iconic singers in order to win a cash prize for a charity of their choice. Since series 18 the show has been presented by Maciej Rock and Maciej Dowbor, whilst the judging panel has consisted of Piotr Gąsowski, Małgorzata Walewska and Robert Janowski.

The station mainly plays disco polo and dance as well as folk, country, romani, muzyka biesiadna and foreign disco music. In January 2019, the Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) announced that the Polish entry for the 2019 contest in Tel Aviv, Israel would be selected through an internal selection. Tulia was announced as the Polish entrant on 15 February 2019, while the song "Fire of Love " was presented to the public on 8 March 2019.
Poland participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, with "River" performed by Ochman. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) first announced in September 2021 that the Polish entry for the 2022 contest would be chosen through an internal selection. However, the broadcaster later decided to organise the national final Tu bije serce Europy! Wybieramy hit na Eurowizję! in order to select the Polish entry. The national final took place on 19 February 2022 and featured ten entries. "River" performed by Ochman was selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a five-member jury panel and a public vote over two rounds of voting.
