Dutch-Serbian are foreign relations between the Netherlands and Serbia. Both countries reestablished diplomatic relations in 1891. [1] The Netherlands is an EU member while Serbia is an EU candidate.
There are between 10,000 and 15,000 people of Serbian descent living in the Netherlands.
The foreign policy of the Netherlands is based on four basic commitments: to the Atlantic cooperation, to European integration, to international development and to international law. While historically the Kingdom of the Netherlands was a neutral state, since 1945 it has become a member of NATO, the United Nations, the European Union and many other international organizations. The Dutch economy is very open and relies on international trade. During and after the 17th century—its Golden Age—the Dutch built up a commercial and colonial empire. It was a leading shipping and naval power and was often at war with England, its main rival. Its main colonial holding was Indonesia, which fought for and achieved independence after 1945. The historical ties inherited from its colonial past still influence the foreign relations of the Netherlands. Foreign trade policy is handled by the European Union. The Dutch have been active in international peacekeeping roles.
Netherlands–Russia relations is the relationships between the two countries, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and The Russian Federation. Russia has an embassy in The Hague, and the Netherlands has an embassy in Moscow, a consulate in Saint Petersburg, and an honorary consulate in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
Dutch-Greek relations are foreign relations between the Netherlands and Greece. Since 1834, both countries have diplomatic relations. Kosovo–Netherlands relations are foreign relations between Kosovo and the Netherlands. Kosovo declared its independence on 17 February 2008 and the Netherlands recognised it on 4 March 2008. The Netherlands have maintained an embassy in Pristina since 27 June 2008, and Kosovo opened an embassy in The Hague in November 2009. Relations between the two countries are considered to be good and the Netherlands offers support to various projects in Kosovo with the goal of aiding the country in its transition to democracy.

Croatian–Dutch are foreign relations between Croatia and Netherlands. Both countries established diplomatic relations on April 23, 1992. Croatia has an embassy in The Hague. The Netherlands have an embassy in Zagreb and 3 honorary consulates . Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe, European Union and NATO. Netherlands joined the EU as a founding member state, and Croatia joined the EU in 2013. The Netherlands has given full support to Croatia's membership in the European Union and NATO.
Dutch-Slovenian relations are foreign relations between the Netherlands and Slovenia. Both countries established diplomatic relations on June 25, 1991. The Netherlands has an embassy in Ljubljana. Slovenia has an embassy in The Hague. Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe, the European Union and NATO.
Serbia–Slovenia relations Before 1991, both countries were part of Yugoslavia. Slovenia gained its independence after the Ten-Day War. Both countries established diplomatic relations on 9 December 2000. Serbia has an embassy in Ljubljana. Slovenia has an embassy in Belgrade.
Serbian-Swiss are foreign relations between Serbia and Switzerland. Both countries established diplomatic relations in 1916. Switzerland has an embassy in Belgrade. Serbia has an embassy in Bern and two general consulates.
Serbian-Spanish relations are foreign relations between Serbia and Spain. Both countries established diplomatic relations on October 14, 1916. Serbia has an embassy in Madrid. Spain has an embassy in Belgrade. Both countries are member states of the United Nations, Interpol, Council of Europe and Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Spain is member state of the European Union since 1986 and Serbia is a candidate country since 2012 negotiating its future membership which Spain is strongly supporting. Spain is member state of NATO alliance while Serbia is a militarily neutral country with strong historical relations with the Non-Aligned Movement. In relation to third parties, both countries supported position of Argentina in its Falkland Islands sovereignty dispute with the United Kingdom in the past.
Finnish-Serbian relations are foreign relations between Finland and Serbia. Both countries established diplomatic relations in 1929. Finland has an embassy in Belgrade. Serbia has an embassy in Helsinki. Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe. Also Finland is an EU member and Serbia is an EU candidate. Finland supports Serbia's European Union membership.
Dutch–Finnish relations are foreign relations between the Netherlands and Finland. The Netherlands recognised Finland's independence on 28 January 1918. Diplomatic relations between them were established on 14 August 1918. The Netherlands has an embassy in Helsinki and consulates. Finland has an embassy in the Hague, an honorary consulate general in Amsterdam and other honorary consulates in Rotterdam and Terneuzen. Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe, the European Union and NATO. The Netherlands supported Finland's NATO membership during Finland's accession into NATO, which was finalized on 4 April 2023.
Serbian-Slovak relations are foreign relations between Serbia and Slovakia. Both countries established direct diplomatic relations in 1993. Serbia has an embassy in Bratislava. Slovakia has an embassy in Belgrade. Slovakia is among the few NATO and EU members which have not recognized the independence of Kosovo. Also Serbia is an EU candidate and Slovakia is an EU member.
Dutch-Hungarian relations are foreign relations between the Netherlands and Hungary. The Netherlands have an embassy in Budapest and an honorary consulate in Pécs. Hungary has an embassy in The Hague and 6 honorary consulates.
Italy has an embassy in The Hague and a consulate general in Amsterdam. The Netherlands has an embassy in Rome, a consulate general in Milan.
Holy See–Serbia relations are foreign relations between the Holy See and Serbia. Both countries established diplomatic relations in March 1919. The Holy See has an embassy in Belgrade. Serbia has an embassy to the Holy See in Rome.
Belarus and the Netherlands established diplomatic relations in 1994. Belarus has an embassy and an honorary consulate in The Hague. The Netherlands is represented in Belarus through its embassy in Warsaw (Poland) and through an honorary consulate in Minsk. Both countries are full members of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
Diplomatic relations exist between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands. Azerbaijan have an embassy in The Hague. the Netherlands has an embassy in Baku. Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe. Azerbaijan celebrated its 30th anniversary with the Netherlands on April 1, 2022.
Dutch–Portuguese relations are the bilateral relations between the Netherlands and Portugal. Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe, the European Union and NATO. The Netherlands has an embassy in Lisbon and 3 honorary consulates, while Portugal has an embassy in The Hague.
