New Westminster was the name, or part of the name, of several Canadian federal and provincial electoral districts. All provincial and federal ridings in the area of the Lower Mainland were part of the original New Westminster ridings. "Offspring" ridings are indicated accordingly.
The New Westminster riding originally included all of the Lower Mainland outside of the City of New Westminster, such that all Fraser Valley and Vancouver ridings are derivatives of the New Westminster riding, which became a three-member renamed Westminster for the 1890 election before being partitioned into four ridings. The following table attempts to trace the lineage of the Lower Mainland ridings (other than those in Vancouver or the North Shore, which can be found on Vancouver (electoral districts):
And all Vancouver, North Vancouver and West Vancouver ridings are "descendants" of the original New Westminster riding.

Each year, the playoff teams battle for the right to compete against the Major Series Lacrosse champion for the Mann Cup every September. The championship is hosted alternately between Ontario and British Columbia every year.

Chilliwack has been a provincial electoral district in the Canadian province of British Columbia since 1916. Incorporating slightly different boundaries, it was the successor riding to the Chilliwhack riding the name of which was based on the older spelling of the name.
The Pacific Junior Hockey League (PJHL), formerly Pacific International Junior Hockey League, (PIJHL) until 2012, is a Canadian Junior "A" ice hockey league which operates in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Although the PJHL has included American teams in the past, the league's fifteen franchises all currently reside in the districts of Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, and the Sunshine Coast of BC. Several National Hockey League stars began their junior hockey careers in the PJHL, but the main focus of the league is player development and education with strong ties to the local hockey community. The PJHL Championship is awarded annually to the league playoff champion and the winner moves on to compete against the champions of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League and the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League for the provincial title, the Cyclone Taylor Cup. From 1983 to 2017, the winner of the Cyclone Taylor Cup moves on to compete for the Western Canada Junior "B" Crown, the Keystone Cup.
An electoral redistribution was undertaken in 2008 in British Columbia in a process that began in late 2005 and was completed with the passage of the Electoral Districts Act, 2008 on April 10, 2008. The redistribution modified most electoral boundaries in the province and increased the number of MLAs from 79 to 85. The electoral boundaries created by the redistribution were first used in the 2009 provincial election.
The West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association is a Senior B Canadian box lacrosse league. The teams are located in southwest British Columbia. Champions of the league move on to compete for the Presidents Cup, the Canadian National Senior B championship.
Carvolth Exchange is a transit exchange and park and ride facility serving northwestern Langley Township, British Columbia, Canada. TransLink is the primary operator of the exchange, with routes to Surrey City Centre, New Westminster, Burnaby, Maple Ridge and Langley City, which provide connections to SkyTrain and the West Coast Express rail services for travel towards Vancouver. A single BC Transit express route also serves the exchange, providing service to Burnaby, Abbotsford, and Chilliwack.
An electoral redistribution in British Columbia was undertaken by the BC Electoral Boundaries Commission beginning in 2014 and was formalized by the passage of Bill 42, the 2015 Electoral Districts Act, during the 40th British Columbia Parliament. The act came into effect on November 17, 2015. The redistribution added two seats to the previous total, increasing the number of MLAs in the province from 85 to 87. The electoral boundaries came into effect for the 2017 election. The next redistribution is required to occur following the 2020 British Columbia general election.
An electoral redistribution in British Columbia is underway by the BC Electoral Boundaries Commission. On October 21, 2021, the Government of British Columbia appointed Justice Nitya Iyer, Linda Tynan and Chief Electoral Officer Anton Boegman to serve as the 2021 commissioners. Justice Iyer was appointed the chair.
