Nick Baxter is an English rugby union player who has represented England Students, England Sevens and the Barbarians. He is the leading try scorer in national league rugby, scoring his 150th try for Pertemps Bees versus Doncaster in April 2006. He was a member of the England Sevens team in the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games. Nick has currently played for three different National league sides; Worcester Warriors, Pertemps Bees and Stourbridge playing most of his career in the RFU Championship . At the end of the 05/06 season Nick Baxter left Pertemps Bees to join National Division 2 club Stourbridge.

Club Rugby

Baxter started playing his club rugby for Kings Norton before moving to Worcester Warriors. Whilst also playing for the mighty University of Derby. He then signed for Pertemps Bees before moving to National Division 2 side Stourbridge at the end of the 05/06 season. He then returned to Kings Norton on a casual basis while concentrating on his career.

He was the first player to score 100 national league tries and currently the only player to score 150 national league tries. In 2005 he received the Rugby Writers' Union Services to Rugby Award. (Previous recipients include Sir Clive Woodward and Keith Wood.)

International Rugby

Baxter has represented England at Sevens level, competing in the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games He has also played on several occasions for the Barbarians.

The future

Nick has since retired from all rugby.

Birmingham and Solihull Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club representing Birmingham and Solihull which was formed in 1989 by a merger of the original Birmingham and Solihull rugby clubs, which were both established over 60 years ago. They currently play in the Birmingham Merit Leagues, having dropped out of Midlands Premier following their relegation from National League 2 South at the end of the 2018–19 season, becoming an amateur club.

Brodie Henderson is a rugby union player who has represented Canada and Canada Sevens. Henderson played professionally for Bay of Plenty in New Zealand during the 2005-2006 season and Pertemps Bees in the English National Division 1 in the 2006-2007 season.

Akapusi Qera is a Fijian professional rugby union player. A Flanker or No.8. He is married to wife Phillipha Talei and together they have four children. Qera is also from a Christian sporting family; his father was an international cricketer for Fiji and his brother also played international rugby for Fiji. He is also a first cousin of Fiji test international Viliame Veikoso. Qera is a current test international and 15's captain for Fiji Qera has also represented the Barbarians.

Phil Dowson is forwards coach at Northampton Saints. He is a former English rugby union player. He played for Worcester Warriors, Northampton Saints and Newcastle Falcons in the Aviva Premiership.

Chris Pennell English rugby union player

Chris Pennell is an English rugby union player. He currently plays for Worcester Warriors in the Aviva Premiership. He plays as a fullback or wing if needed. He's a former captain of Worcester, and currently resides in Worcester with his young family. Pennell is also an ambassador for type 1 diabetes, which he was diagnosed with at nineteen years old. He has played for England, earning 1 cap in 2014.

Simon Hunt is an English rugby union footballer and Director of Rugby for Old Bristolians having most recently played for Dings Crusaders. Simon has played club rugby in England, France and Wales and is known as a prolific try scorer who can also point kick. He also has international pedigree, having played at youth level for England as well as being centrally contracted to the England Sevens squad for the 2011-2012 IRB Sevens World Series. Outside of rugby Simon holds 87th fastest time for a 2000m indoor row. He is now working as a PE teacher.

The RFU Championship is the second tier of the English rugby union league system and was founded in September 1987. The eleven-side league was known as National Division One and in 2009 changed from semi-professional clubs to fully professional. However, several clubs now operate a semi-professional model. The 2021 champions were Saracens, who won promotion back to Premiership Rugby after a single season in the Championship.

Matthew Boris "Matt" Kvesic is an English professional rugby union player for Premiership Rugby side Worcester Warriors. Born in Germany to English parents, he represented England at international level and played for several youth representative sides before making his debut for the senior team in 2013. Predominantly an openside flanker, he has also played on the blindside and at number eight.

Mark Woodrow is an English rugby union player-coach for Dings Crusaders currently playing in the English National League 3 South West. His position of choice is fly-half. Mark has played for eleven English national league clubs in addition to appearing for both Paternope (Naples) and later Viadana in the Italian leagues. He is a former England Counties XV international and has previously been involved with England Sevens. Renowned as a prolific and highly accurate points kicker, over his career he has made 300 appearances in English club rugby, scoring 2,613 points as of the end of the 2014-15 season.

The North Midlands Rugby Football Union is a governing body for rugby union in part of The Midlands, England. The union is the constituent body of the Rugby Football Union for the counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire and the Greater Birmingham area.

The North Midlands Vase is an annual rugby union knock-out club competition organized by the North Midlands Rugby Football Union and was first contested during the 2005-06 season when Kings Norton became the first winners when they defeated Oswestry in the final at Stourton Park in Stourbridge. The vase is currently open for clubs ranked in tiers 9-10 of the English rugby union system that fall under the North Midlands RFU umbrella, including sides based in Birmingham and the West Midlands, Herefordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire, although one club, Dudley Wasps plays in the Midlands Reserve League, and two others, Bredon Star and Ross Wye, are both based in Gloucestershire and play in Gloucester 1 and Gloucester 2 respectively. In 2014 the North Midlands RFU introduced a 'Plate' competition for sides eliminated in the early stages of the vase. It is one of three men's club competitions in the region along with the North Midlands Cup and the North Midlands Shield.
