Paywetseikkon railway station (Burmese : ပုရွက်ဆိတ်ကုန်းဘူတာ; lit. "Ant Hill") is a railway station on the Yangon Circular Railway in Yangon, Burma. [1] It is located in North Okkalapa Township. [2]

Burmese language language spoken in Myanmar

The Burmese language is the Sino-Tibetan language spoken in Myanmar where it is an official language and the language of the Bamar people, the country's principal ethnic group. Although the Constitution of Myanmar officially recognizes the English name of the language as the Myanmar language, most English speakers continue to refer to the language as Burmese, after Burma, the older name for Myanmar. In 2007, it was spoken as a first language by 33 million, primarily the Bamar (Burman) people and related ethnic groups, and as a second language by 10 million, particularly ethnic minorities in Myanmar and neighboring countries.

Yangon Circular Railway

Yangon Circular Railway is the local commuter rail network that serves the Yangon metropolitan area. Operated by Myanmar Railways, the 45.9-kilometre (28.5 mi) 39-station loop system connects satellite towns and suburban areas to the city. Circa 2008–2010, the railway had about 200 coaches, had 20 daily runs, and sold 100,000 to 150,000 tickets daily. The loop, which takes about three hours to complete, is a way to see a cross section of life in Yangon. The Railway is heavily utilized by lower-income commuters, as it is the cheapest method of transportation in Yangon.

North Okkalapa Township Township of Yangon in Myanmar

North Okkalapa Township is located in the eastern part of Yangon. The township comprises 19 wards, and shares borders with Hlegu Township and Mingaladon township in the north, North Dagon Township in the east, Mingaladon Township and Mayangon Township in the west, and Kamayut Township, and Mayangon township and South Okkalapa Township in the south. North Okkalapa was one of the satellite towns established in 1959. Today, it is a firmly established part of the city, albeit with nominal access to the city's electricity grid and sewer system. Like most areas in the city, especially in working-class neighborhoods like North Okkalapa, night-time electricity is available nowadays.

Incorporated into the city of Yangon in 1986, Shwepyitha is now developing and has basic municipal services. Improvements include tidy and broad main roads and many streets form a grid. Hlaing River separates Shwepyithar and Hlaingtharyar. Shwepyithar Bridge was built in 1996 and now it is a useful bridge in Yangon and is also the start of the Yangon-Pathein-Chaungthar Highway. Htan Chuak Pin Junction is regarded as the centre of Shwepyithar and many well known places are there. Shwepyithar Advanced Theatre (3D) was opened on March 2017. There are many gyms and shops around its centre. At night, the street-market of Htan Chauk Pin offers dining. Ruby Market is the most famous market. Bogyoke Aungsan Road, Bayint Naung Road, No.3 Highway, etc. are the most popular roads in the town. The Yangon Circular Railway passes through the twonship. Its railway station is also at the Yangon-Pyay-Mandalay Railway. Many Language Centres teach English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese. Many advanced restaurants and hotels as well as motels are there. Shwe Pyi Thar is an up-and-coming Yangon township.

Yangon Central railway station, located in downtown Yangon, is the largest railway station in Myanmar. It is the gateway to Myanmar Railways' 3,126-mile (5,031 km) rail network whose reach covers Upper Myanmar, upcountry (Myitkyina), Shan hills and the Taninthayi coast.

Myanma Railways (MR) is the state-owned agency that operates the railway network in Myanmar. It operates Southeast Asia's second longest railway network. The 5,403-kilometre (3,357 mi) metre gauge rail network consists of 858 stations, and generally spans north to south with branch lines to east and west. MR also operates the Yangon Circular Railway line, Yangon's commuter rail network. MR operates 18 freight trains, and 379 passenger trains, transporting over 100,000 passengers daily.
