The Philippine Game Festival, commonly known as PGF, is an annual video game convention held in Manila, the Philippines since 2009. It is usually held in October or November and is organized by the Game Developers Association of the Philippines, the local trade association for the game industry. The gaming convention is the largest gathering of game enthusiasts, designers, and developers in the entire local game development industry. The convention also features two sub-events: the Game On Challenge, an annual game development competition for students, and the PGF Annual Awards, a ceremony recognizing the country's best developers and the games made throughout the year. The most recent Philippine Game Festival took place at the Alpha Tents in Makati last October 2015.

Tokyo Game Show, commonly known as TGS, is a video game trade fair and convention held annually in September in the Makuhari Messe, in Chiba, Japan. It is presented by the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA) and Nikkei Business Publications, Inc. The main focus of the show is on Japanese games, but some international video game developers use it to showcase upcoming releases/related hardware. The duration of the event is four days. The first two days of Tokyo Game Show are open only to industry attendees (business) and the general public can attend during the final two days.

The video game industry in the Czech Republic has produced numerous globally successful video games such as Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis and the subsequent ArmA series, the Mafia series, Truck Simulator series, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the Samorost series and others. Video gaming is a growing sector in Colombia. The medium has been popular in the country since the 1980s, but little local development had taken place until the turn of the 21st century. As the country has been producing many engineers since the early 2010s, many of which specialized in electronics, industry and information technology, the local video game industry has been booming.
