Ralph & Katie is a British television drama series, a spin-off of The A Word , about the lives of a couple with Down syndrome. The six-part series, handled by a writing team made up predominantly of people with disabilities, [1] began broadcast in October 2022. [2] Disney+ picked up the programme across all of Europe, except the UK. [3]

Reception

Jack Seale of The Guardian awarded the first two episodes four stars out of five, praising the humour, warmth and characters. [5] Anita Singh in The Telegraph also gave it four stars out of five. [6]

The A Word is a British television drama series, based on the Israeli series Yellow Peppers. The series follows a young boy and how his family cope with the revelation that he has autism spectrum disorder. Following filming in the Lake District from October 2015, a six-part series began airing on 22 March 2016. On 26 May 2016, the BBC announced that a second series of The A Word had been commissioned. It premiered in the UK on 7 November 2017. The third series began airing on 5 May 2020.

The Star Beast (<i>Doctor Who</i>) 2023 Doctor Who episode

"The Star Beast" is the first of three hour-long special episodes of the British science fiction television programme Doctor Who, marking its 60th anniversary. Based on a comic written by Pat Mills and Dave Gibbons for Doctor Who Magazine in 1980, the episode was written by returning head writer and showrunner Russell T Davies, directed by Rachel Talalay, and was first broadcast on BBC One on 25 November 2023. It serves as the reintroductions of David Tennant and Catherine Tate to the series, with Tennant making his first regular appearance as the Fourteenth Doctor, having previously played the Tenth Doctor during Davies' original tenure as showrunner, last seen in the 50th anniversary special "The Day of the Doctor" (2013), while Tate reprises her role as Donna Noble. At Home with the Furys is a British fly-on-the-wall television documentary series about the WBC heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and his family. The first season was released by Netflix on 16 August 2023. Shortly after the first season aired, the series was renewed for a second series.
