Richard and Adam Johnson, performing as Richard & Adam, are Welsh classical singers, best known for finishing in third place on the seventh series of Britain's Got Talent . They come from Holywell in Flintshire, Wales. [1] Their debut album The Impossible Dream topped the UK Albums Chart and spent four consecutive weeks at number one, making it the longest-running number-one album of 2013 in the UK.
After working in a sandwich shop, [2] the brothers performed on cruise ships one of which was the P&O Cruises ship 'Azura' and also performed on Loose Women as "The Johnson Brothers".[ citation needed ]
Richard and Adam auditioned for Britain's Got Talent in January 2013 and was aired in April 2013. They performed 'The Impossible Dream' and were put through to the next round by the judges. The duo performed on the first live show with "Somewhere" [3] and won with the most votes cast with over 66% of the vote, putting them through to the final.[ citation needed ]
In the Britain's Got Talent final, Richard & Adam once again performed "The Impossible Dream". [4] In the middle of their performance, one of the members of the orchestra performing behind them—later identified as violinist Natalie Holt—stood up and started throwing eggs at Simon Cowell. [5] The producers immediately escorted her off the stage while the duo continued. They finished third with 15.4% of the vote. [6]
In June 2013, Richard & Adam were signed to Sony Music. They released their debut album, The Impossible Dream , including the single cover of the same name on 29 July 2013. The album was released by Arista Records, the duo's current label. [7] The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart on 4 August. [8] In its second week on sale, despite competition from US duo The Civil Wars, Richard & Adam held onto the Official Albums Chart Number 1 spot for a second week. [9] The album contains covers of songs such as "Somewhere", "Amazing Grace" and "Bring Him Home". [10] The album stayed at number one for four consecutive weeks. [11]
On 12 September 2013, Richard & Adam announced details of their second album, The Christmas Album , which was released on 2 December. The album put an operatic twist on Christmas songs such as "Away in a Manger", "Silent Night" and "Once in Royal David's City". [12]
In May 2014, it was announced that Richard & Adam's third album would be called At the Movies, composed of songs from soundtracks. The album debuted at number five on the UK Albums Chart. [13]
In 2019 they took part in Britain's Got Talent: The Champions , though were eliminated in the preliminaries.

Following The Impossible Dream retaining number one on the charts, the brothers toured the UK in 2014. [18]
Danielle Jane Minogue is an Australian singer, television personality, and actress. She initially gained recognition for her appearances on the television show Young Talent Time (1982–1988) and for her role as Emma Jackson on the soap opera Home and Away (1989–1990). Minogue began her music career in the early 1990s, achieving early success with her debut studio album, Love and Kisses (1991). Leon Jackson is a Scottish singer. He won the fourth series of British talent show The X Factor in 2007. Following his win, Jackson was the main star of his on-web series entitled Leon's Life, which ran from 2007 until 2008. Jackson's début album, Right Now (2008) finished the year as the 75th best-selling album in the UK, and included the singles, "Don't Call This Love", "Creative" and "Stargazing".

Andrew Johnston is a British singer who rose to fame when he appeared as a boy soprano on the second series of the UK television talent show Britain's Got Talent in 2008. Although he did not win the competition, he received a contract to record with Syco Music, a label owned by the Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell. Johnston's debut album, One Voice, was released in September of the same year, and reached number four on the UK Albums Chart. Although Johnston originally performed as a treble, his voice has since matured to baritone, and he is now a member of the National Youth Choir.
Same Difference were an English bubblegum pop duo from Portsmouth, England, made up of siblings Sean Smith and Sarah Smith. They came to prominence in 2007 when they finished third in the fourth series of the ITV talent show, The X Factor.

Ronan Parke is an English singer from Poringland, Norfolk, UK who came runner-up in the fifth series of ITV show Britain's Got Talent in 2011 when he was 12 despite being the bookies' favourite to win. Since appearing on the show, he had signed a joint record deal with Sony Music and released a charted self-titled debut album Ronan Parke on 24 October 2011 which reached 22 on the Official Chart. He has also released a number of singles, including a Christmas single in 2012 and a charity single "Defined" in 2013 with the anti bullying organisation Kidscape. Jonathan Frederick Antoine is an English classically-trained tenor. He rose to fame after appearing on the sixth series of Britain's Got Talent in 2012 as half of the classical duo Jonathan and Charlotte. He subsequently went solo and his debut album, Tenore, was released in the UK on 13 October 2014. They finished as runners-up in the sixth series of Britain's Got Talent in 2012, being beaten by dancing dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey. At the time, they were aged 17 and 16 respectively. Despite not winning, the young duo were offered a £1 million record deal by Simon Cowell on his record label Syco. They released two albums, Together in 2012 and Perhaps Love in 2013. In February 2014, the duo decided to split and embark on solo careers.

She competed in the ninth series of The X Factor UK in 2012, finishing in sixth place despite being a strong favourite to win. She signed with Syco Music shortly after, and released her debut studio album, Chapter One (2014), which reached number one in the UK. The album spawned the chart-topping single "Ghost", as well as the top 20 singles "Glow" and "Yours".
Bars and Melody are a British R&B and rap duo consisting of rapper Leondre Devries and singer Charlie Lenehan, who took part in the eighth series of Britain's Got Talent in 2014. During their audition, they were automatically sent into the semifinals of the competition after the head judge, Simon Cowell, pressed the golden buzzer. They ultimately finished in third place in the series. Their first single after the show, "Shining Star", was released on 30 July 2014, accompanied by the acoustic version of their song "Hopeful".
Collabro were a UK-based musical theatre group and winners of the eighth series of Britain's Got Talent in 2014. The group consisted of Michael Auger, Jamie Lambert, Matthew Pagan and Thomas J. Redgrave. Richard Hadfield left the band in June 2016. Collabro was voted the UK's favourite Britain's Got Talent Winners in a National Poll. The band have a following who they refer to as their "Collaborators" and famous fans include Jade Thirlwall from Little Mix.
"Hopeful" is the debut single by British pop duo Bars and Melody. It is based on the lyrics and music of Twista's 2005 song "Hope", featuring Faith Evans. The song was released on 25 July 2014 through Syco Music. It debuted at number 5 on the UK Singles Chart, with sales of 40,191.
