The Skopje Jazz Festival is a jazz festival held in Skopje, North Macedonia, since 1982.

Although the festival promotes a genre which seems distant from its own culture and traditions, it attracts large audiences and receives attention in the Balkans and the rest of Europe. Musicians who have performed at the festival include Marshall Allen, Art Ensemble of Chicago, Anthony Braxton, Brazilian Girls, Ray Charles, Zoran Madzirov, Stanley Clarke, Ornette Coleman, Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Gotan Project, Charlie Haden, Herbie Hancock, Andrew Hill, Dave Holland, Maria Joao, D. D. Jackson, Rabih Abou-Khalil, Vlatko Stefanovski, Theodosii Spassov, Simon Kiselicki, John McLaughlin, Pat Metheny, Youssou N'Dour, Tito Puente, Gregory Porter, Toni Kitanovski, Sierra Maestra, Goce Stevkovski, McCoy Tyner, and Joe Zawinul.

The festival is part of the European jazz network and the European Forum of World Music festivals.

Massar Egbari is an Egyptian Rock band that was officially launched in 2005 from Alexandria, Egypt. The band consists of 4 musicians: Ayman Massoud (Keyboards), Hany El Dakkak, Ahmed Hafez, and Tamer Attallah (Drums). Mahmoud Siam (Guitars) joined the band in 2008. It presents a kind of alternative Egyptian music, mixing rock, jazz and blues with Oriental music. "Massar Egbari" means "Compulsory Detour", a name intended to reflect how society forces people to think and live their lives in a certain way. The band pokes fun at typical social norms and trends. The band mainly concentrates on presenting music and songs talking about social problems. Love is not their main concern although it represents a part of their songs.

Baklava is a world music acoustic band. Their key challenge is to create original music based on the aesthetic achievements of traditional Macedonian music. The band held several concerts in Europe and participated in several festivals, including the renowned Skopje Jazz Festival, Sfinks Festival in Belgium and other countries.

The Dance Fest Skopje is an international dancing festival in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. It was established in 2005, as a continuation of the program "April - the month of dance". The festival's aim is to present contemporary productions of national ballets and other prestige companies from the region, Europe and the world.

Simon Kiselicki is a Macedonian jazz pianist, composer and arranger. Kiselicki is also one of the first musicians who brought jazz music to Macedonian stages and clubs, at the start of the 90s.
