Socialist Canarian Party (Spanish : Partido Canario Socialista or PCS) was a political party in Lanzarote, Canary Islands, Spain. [1] It was registered with the election authorities in 1995. [2]

Lanzarote is a Spanish island, the northernmost and easternmost of the autonomous Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. It is located approximately 125 kilometres off the north coast of Africa and 1,000 kilometres from the Iberian Peninsula. Covering 845.94 square kilometres, Lanzarote is the fourth-largest of the islands in the archipelago. With 149183 inhabitants, it is the third most populous Canary Island, after Tenerife and Gran Canaria. Located in the centre-west of the island is Timanfaya National Park, one of its main attractions. The island was declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 1993. The island's capital is Arrecife.

The party presented a list to the 1995 Island elections, led by Edilia Soraya Noda Ramos. [1] The party obtained 325 votes (0.98% of the votes in Lanzarote). [3] Most of the votes were cast in Arrecife, where the party got 220 votes (1.41%). [4] In Tías the party got 56 votes (1.56%). [4]

Tías is a town and a municipality in the southern part of the island of Lanzarote, province of Las Palmas, autonomous community of the Canary Islands, Spain. The town Tías is situated 4 km from the south coast and 10 km west of the island capital Arrecife.

In the 1995 municipal elections, the Socialist Canarian Party contested two municipalities, Arrecife and Tías. In Arrecife the party got 195 votes (1.25%). [5] It got 42 votes in Tías (1.17%), but no seats in either municipality. [6]
