Cricket

National and International matches are hosted in Madhya Pradesh. In 2010 ODI cricket was hosted in Captain Roop Singh Stadium. [2] Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association of Indore is responsible for the development and organizing games.

Captain Roop Singh Stadium, is a cricket ground in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The stadium has hosted 12 ODI matches, the first one was played between India and West Indies on 22 January 1988.

Madhya Pradesh is a home ground of hosting National Football games. In 2013 National Football League was hosted in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. [3]

In 2017, it lost its status to hold any Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) conducted matches after staging a private league which was not permitted by BCCI. Later in January 2018, Afghanistan national cricket team also moved to another stadium.

Chennaiyin FC n Indian Super League football club based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Chennaiyin Football Club is a professional football club based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. They compete in the Indian Super League under licence from the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The club was founded in August 2014 during the inaugural season of the Indian Super League. Chennaiyin are the reigning champions, winning the 2017-18 Indian Super League season, also having won it previously in 2015 season, making them the joint highest winners (2) of the league along with ATK.

Indore Sports Complex is proposed sports city in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Indore Development Authority gave 100 acre of land to build a sport venue in Bangrada and scheme-151, 169-B and 170 near the Super Corridor which includes cricket stadium, indoor stadium, tennis court, aquatic centre as well as stadia for other outdoor sports like athletics, football and hockey.

Yeshwant Club

The Yeshwant Club in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, came into existence in 1934 at the behest of late Maharaja Sir Tukoji Rao III Holkar of Indore. The club was established out of natural love and affection for his beloved son, Yuvraj Yeshwant Rao Holkar. Spread over an expanse of 14 acres, it is one of the living signatures of the rich legacy of the Holkar rulers of Indore State of the Maratha Confederacy. Initially the club was opened for royalty, nobility, aristocracy, and the officers of the Holkar State. Later, its doors were opened for the business elites. After Indian independence, the admission criteria were revised according to the changing times.

Gwalior International Cricket Stadium is a new under construction international cricket stadium at Shankarpur village in Gwalior West. by Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA). The proposed stadium will be built on a land of 30 acres, which has been taken over by Gwalior Division Cricket Association (GDCA). The construction of the proposed stadium is expected to be completed in 2017. It will have a seating capacity of around 60,000 spectators. It will also be equipped with flood lights for night matches, a swimming pool, sauna bath, modern gym, dressing room, and 30 corporate boxes.

Born in Indore, in the largest Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, he graduated in engineering from Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) Indore and started his commentating career in 1968 at the Nehru Stadium for a Ranji Trophy match between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Over the years, he is reported to have covered nine Cricket World Cups, 85 test matches and over 400 One Day Internationals, besides several Twenty20 Internationals. His contributions are reported in making cricket commentary in Hindi popular. He has also written two books in Hindi on sports, Khel Patrakarita published in 2003 and Cricket Ka Mahabharat, published in 2016.
