Status Quo are an English rock band that formed in 1962. The group originated in London as The Scorpions and was founded by Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster while they were still schoolboys. After a number of lineup changes, which included the introduction of Rick Parfitt in 1967, the band became The Status Quo in 1967 and Status Quo in 1969. As of 2022, the group have been active for 60 consecutive years.
Francis Dominic Nicholas Michael Rossi, is an English musician, singer and songwriter. He is the co-founder, lead singer, lead guitarist and the sole continuous member of the rock band Status Quo.

XS All Areas – The Greatest Hits is an album by English rock band Status Quo, released on September 20th 2004. It is a best-of compilation with two new tracks, "You'll Come 'Round" and "Thinking of You". All the tracks from 1972–1981 were new remasters, giving a preview of the expanded and remastered editions of the studio and live albums from that era which were released in 2005. All the tracks from before 1972 are the 1998 remasters. From 2006–2011, all the band's studio and live albums from 1982–2000 were also re–released in expanded and remastered editions, but the versions of those tracks included here are the original masters. A DVD collection of videos, concert footage and TV appearances from throughout the band's history to that point, also titled XS All Areas – The Greatest Hits, was released on the same day. The band supported the album with the XS All Areas tour from October 2004–August 2005.

Pictures – 40 Years of Hits is a compilation album by the British rock band Status Quo, and was released on 10 November 2008. The album was available as a standard double CD, a double CD + DVD "deluxe edition", and the four-CD "earBOOK" boxset, containing the single versions of all 76 Status Quo singles from 1968 to 2008 inclusive, housed in a box that included a 120-page booklet and reproduction prints of fifty versions of Status Quo single and album covers recreated by famous musicians and celebrities. The original artwork was later auctioned off to raise money for the Prince's Trust, a charity Status Quo has long supported.
