Triple C's, also known as Carol City Cartel, is an American hip hop group founded by Rick Ross in 2005. The group takes its name from the Carol City neighborhood of Miami Gardens, and consists of Gunplay from Miami, Torch from the Bronx, New York, and Young Breed.

History

They have been featured on Rick Ross' first two albums Port of Miami and Trilla . Additionally, Gunplay appeared on Ross's third studio album Deeper Than Rap . [1] Their first studio album, Custom Cars & Cycles , was released October 27, 2009. [2] In the first week, the album sold 12,100 copies. [3] Gunplay made an appearance on the song "Don't Let Me Go", with former labelmate rapper Pill from Maybach Music Group's 2011 collaboration album Self Made Vol. 1 . It is produced by Lee Majors. Torch would also appear on the album's track "Big Bank", featuring Pill, Meek Mill, and Rick Ross. Gunplay would later be featured on two tracks from Self Made Vol. 2 and on Lil Wayne's 2013 album I Am Not a Human Being II .

Recording sessions for the album took place during 2008 to 2009, while the additional productions was handled by The Inkredibles, The Runners, DJ Toomp and Drumma Boy; as well as guest appearances from Nas, Avery Storm, Foxy Brown and Ne-Yo, among others. During the album's development, some controversy arose over the releasing of photos, showing Ross working as a correctional officer during his ongoing feud with a fellow rapper 50 Cent.

Born and with a childhood in the Castle Hill area of the Bronx, he was sent by his mother to live with his older sister in Miami, Florida, as a teen.

Richard Welton Morales Jr., better known by his stage name Gunplay, is an American rapper from Carol City, Florida. He is best known for his association with fellow Florida-based rapper Rick Ross, with whom he formed the hip hop group Triple C's in 2005, along with rappers Torch and Young Breed. Following their debut album, Custom Cars & Cycles (2009), Morales signed a solo recording contract with Ross' Maybach Music Group, which entered a joint venture with Def Jam Recordings in July 2012. His debut studio album, Living Legend (2015), narrowly entered the Billboard 200 and served as his only release on a major label.

The discography of American hip hop recording artist Gunplay, consists of two studio albums, three compilation albums, ten mixtapes, and eleven singles. He has also released and recorded music with Southern hip hop group, Triple C's.
