UJ Women's Rugby Sevens team, also UJ Women's 7s, is the rugby sevens club representing the University of Johannesburg based in Johannesburg, Gauteng.
They were crowned the 2022 Varsity Women’s 7s champions after defeating the University of Fort Hare 17-5 in the final. [1]

Varsity Women's 7s: 2022
The Hong Kong national rugby sevens team is a regular participant in the Rugby World Cup Sevens. The team's greatest achievements include winning the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and winning the Asian Sevens Series in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2022.
Varsity Cup is the collective name for four South African rugby union competitions involving the top rugby playing universities in the country. It was launched in 2008, with eight teams participating in the Varsity Cup competition and each university's internal champions competing in the Koshuis Rugby Championships. In 2011, a second tier competition called the Varsity Shield was added, increasing the number of participating universities to thirteen.
