Unto Kullervo Korhonen (born. 10 May 1931 [1] ) is a Finnish diplomat, a Licentiate of Technics. He was Finnish Ambassador to Lusaka from 1976 to 1980, to Hanoi from 1980 to 1983, to Dar es Salaam from 1987 to 1988, and a consultative officer in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs from 1983 to 1987 and from 1988 to 1991. Korhonen was born in Pielisensuu. He graduated from the Helsinki University of Technology as MSc in Engineering in 1955 and Licentiate of Technics in 1963. Prior to the Diplomatic career, he worked as a Senior Engineer in 1961–1965 in the National Land Survey and in 1966–1972 in the UN Expert Service in Pakistan. Thereafter, he was the office manager of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs 1972–1976. [1]

The Helsinki University of Technology was a technical university in Finland. It was located in Otaniemi, Espoo in the metropolitan area of Greater Helsinki. The university was founded in 1849 by Grand Duke Nicholas I and received university status in 1908. It moved from Helsinki to Otaniemi campus area in 1966. It was merged into Aalto University in 2010 and briefly had the name Aalto University School of Science and Technology before being split into four schools in 2011.

The National Land Survey of Finland is an official body, dealing with cartography and cadastre issues in Finland. It is subordinated the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Keijo Tero Korhonen is a Finnish politician, ambassador and professor. He was the Finnish foreign minister between 1976 and 1977 representing Centre Party. During the period 1983-88, he was the Permanent Representative of Finland to the United Nations. Korhonen was an independent candidate for the presidential election in 1994. He challenged Paavo Väyrynen who was the candidate of central party in Finland. They were both members of the party, but majority of the party has changed toward EU-membership after the party leader Esko Aho took the power and supported EU-membership. Eva-Christina Mäkeläinen is a Finnish diplomat, a Licentiate of Social Sciences degree and a PhD in Philosophy. She served as deputy director of the Department for the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1976 to 1980.
