The William & Mary Tribe is a moniker for the College of William & Mary's athletic teams and the university's community more broadly.
The William & Mary Tribe men's basketball team represents the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in NCAA Division I competition. The school's team competes in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) and play their home games in Kaplan Arena. William and Mary Coach, Dane Fischer was hired as the 31st coach in school history following the dismissal of Coach Tony Shaver. Shaver served as the head coach from 2003–2019 and leads the school in all-time wins for a coach.
The William & Mary Tribe women's soccer team represents the College of William & Mary in NCAA Division I college soccer. The team belongs to the Colonial Athletic Association and plays home games at Albert-Daly Field. The Tribe are currently led by Julie Cunningham Shackford, who has coached since 2018

The Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) is a women's college basketball tournament created in 2009 by Sport Tours. The inaugural tournament occurred at the conclusion of the 2009–10 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. Selections for the WBI are announced on Selection Monday. Prior to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic the field for the WBI consisted of a 16-team, single elimination divided into two regions with 8 seeded teams in each. The current format consists of 8 teams, all of which are guraranteed 3 games. Teams are picked based on NET, record, conference standings, end of year performance, and quality wins and losses, after the NCAA and WNIT fields are filled.
The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks basketball team is the women's basketball team that represents Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) in Nacogdoches, Texas. SFA joined the Western Athletic Conference on July 1, 2021 after playing the previous 34 seasons in the Southland Conference.

The 2015–16 William & Mary Tribe men's basketball team represented the College of William & Mary during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tribe were led by thirteenth year head coach Tony Shaver. The team played its home games at Kaplan Arena and remained members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). This was the 111th season of the collegiate basketball program at William & Mary. They finished the season 20–11, 11–7 in CAA play to finish in a three way tie for third place. They advanced to the semifinals of the CAA tournament where they lost Hofstra. Despite again securing twenty wins for the season, the Tribe failed to secure back-to-back postseason tournament bids for the first time in program history. Along with the 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons, this was only the second time in program history that William & Mary won twenty games during three consecutive seasons.

The 2017–18 William & Mary Tribe men's basketball team represented the College of William & Mary during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tribe were coached by 15th-year head coach Tony Shaver and played their home games at Kaplan Arena in Williamsburg, Virginia as members of the Colonial Athletic Association. The Tribe finished the season 19–12, 11–7 in CAA play to finish in fourth place. They defeated Towson in the quarterfinals of the CAA tournament before losing in the semifinals to College of Charleston.
The 2022 Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) was a single-elimination tournament consisting of eight National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I teams not selected to participate in the 2022 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament or 2022 Women's National Invitation Tournament. The 2022 field was announced March 13. The 2022 edition of the tournament was played on the campus of Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky at the Clive M. Beck Center. This was the second year in a row the tournament format consisted of an eight-team field played over four days, with a winners and consolation bracket, guaranteeing three games for all teams. There was no winning percentage requirement to compete in the tournament. Saint Mary's beat the defending WBI champions, Cleveland State, in the final.
