The IBM Pulse conference [1] is a large annual IBM Service Management event that is intended to bring together a community of IBM Customers, Business Partners, industry analysts, and technical experts to discuss the latest technology and best practices in the Service Management industry. The conference mainly focuses on IBM Tivoli, Maximo and Tivoli Netcool products and solutions.

IBM Systems Director is an element management system (EMS) first introduced by IBM in 1993 as NetFinity Manager. The software was originally written to run on OS/2 2.0. Founded in 1997, BigFix, Inc. was headquartered in Emeryville, California.

IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center (TPC) is a Storage Resource Management (SRM) software offering that provides a centralized point of control for managing large-scale, complex heterogeneous storage environments. IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center V5.2.x (5608-PC1) was renamed in V5.2.8 to IBM Spectrum Control Standard Edition V5.2.x (5608-PC1).
