Albin Alois Ouschan (born August 14, 1990, in Klagenfurt, Austria) [1] is an Austrian professional pool player. Ouschan was the 2016 WPA World Nine-ball Championship winner, as well as the runner-up in 2014. He also won the 14.1 Continuous European championship the same year. [2] Ouschan is a multiple time Austrian champion in 8-ball, ten-ball and straight pool. [3] Ouschan alongside partner Mario He won both the 2017 World Cup of Pool, 2019 World Cup of Pool and reached the final of the 2018 World Cup of Pool. [4] They would lose 103 to the Chinese team of Wu Jia-qing & Liu Haitao. [5] He won the WPA World Nine-ball Championship for the second time in 2021, beating Omar Al-Shaheen 13–9 in the final. He won the International Open in 2021, defeating Dennis Orcollo 13–6 in the final.

Oliver Ortmann is a German professional pool player from Gelsenkirchen. Ortmann is a three-time world champion, winning the 1995 WPA World Nine-ball Championship and the 2007 and 2010 World Straight Pool Championship. Ortmann became the second player to win three WPA world championships. With fourteen wins, he the second most successful player at the European Pool Championships. Ortmann is also the second most successful player on the Euro Tour, winning fourteen events. Ortmann was the first non-American player to win the BCA U.S. Open Straight Pool Championship, in 1989.

In 2017 he was the youngest player to win the China Open, and in 2018 he also won the 10-ball European Pool Championships. Filler became WPA and Euro Tour world number 1 in 2019, and later he reached the final of the 2019 WPA World Ten-ball Championship before losing 10–7 to Ko Ping-chung.

Mario He is an Austrian professional pool player. He is a former winner of the European Pool Championships, and winner of both the 2017 and 2019 World Cup of Pool events alongside Albin Ouschan.

Francisco Sánchez Ruíz is a Spanish professional pool player, nicknamed "The Ferrari" and by his initials "FSR". He won both the 2022 WPA World Eight-ball Championship and the 2023 WPA World Nine-ball Championship.

Kristina Olegovna Tkach is a Russian professional pool player. She became the 2017 WPA World Nine-ball Junior Championship winner, defeating Lee Woo-jin in the final 9–6. Tkach is a four time European champion having won the eight-ball event in 2016 and 2019, as well as Straight pool in 2017 and 2019. In addition, she is a nine-time Junior European Champion.

The 2019 European Pool Championships was a series of professional pool championships that took place at the Best Western Premier in Treviso, Italy. The event was played between 26 April and 8 May 2019 and was the 39th edition of the European Pool Championships that were first held in 1980. The championships saw events for men, women, under 23s and wheelchairs across five disciplines; straight pool, eight-ball, nine-ball, ten-ball and a team event.

Nikolaos "Nick" Malai is an Albanian professional pool player. Malai is a former winner of an event on the Euro Tour, winning the 2012 North Cyprus Open.

Ina Kaplan is a German professional pool player. She is an eleven-time German national champion and is the second female player to win three of four disciplines in one event at the championships.

Wang Can is a Chinese professional pool player. Wang has represented China at the World Cup of Pool with playing partner Dang Jinhu. He reached the quarter-finals at the 2014 event, losing to the pair of Albin Ouschan and Mario He.

Omar Al-Shaheen is a professional pool player from Kuwait. Al-Shaheen reached his highest ranking on the World Pool-Billiard Association rankings in 2022, reaching 4th in the world. In 2018, he won 45th Annual Texas Open 9-Ball Championship. At the 2021 WPA World Nine-ball Championship, Al-Shaheen reached the final before losing to Albin Ouschan 9-13.

The 2022 World Pool Championship was a cue sports tournament in the discipline of nine-ball contested during April 6–10, 2022, at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes, England.
