The University of Florida is a public land-grant research university in Gainesville, Florida. It is a senior member of the State University System of Florida. The university traces its origins to 1853 and has operated continuously on its Gainesville campus since September 1906.

Kathryn Chicone Ustler Hall is a historic building on the campus of the University of Florida (UF) in Gainesville, Florida. It was designed by William Augustus Edwards in the Collegiate Gothic style and opened in 1919 as the University Gymnasium. In that capacity, the building was the first home of the Florida Gators men's basketball team, and it continued to serve as the home court for most of the university's indoor sports programs until the Florida Gymnasium opened in the late 1940s. The university became co-educational at about the same time, and the building was rechristened the Women's Gymnasium and was repurposed as a recreation center for the school's many new female students. On June 27, 1979, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
Dennis Coleman Jett is an American diplomat and academic. He served as the United States ambassador to Mozambique and Peru under the Clinton administration and is currently a professor of international relations at the School of International Affairs at The Pennsylvania State University. From 2000 to 2008, he was the Dean of the International Center and lecturer of political science at the University of Florida.
Catherine Emihovich was the former dean and current faculty member of the University of Florida College of Education. In May 2002 she was selected as dean of the college. Prior to this position, she was the dean of the College of Education at California State University at Sacramento. She stepped down as dean on August 14, 2011, and took a year's sabbatical before resuming her faculty responsibilities. She was the first woman to be dean at the college.

Ambassador Connelly was confirmed by the Senate in August 2010 and sworn in by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in September 2010. She officially presented her diplomatic credentials to Lebanese President Michel Sleiman as the 25th U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Lebanon on September 15, 2010.

Since the initial release date, WikiLeaks released further documents every day.

A former United States career diplomat, she served as the United States Ambassador to Serbia from January 2010 to September 2012, as the U.S. Consul General in Melbourne, Australia from October 2012 to July 2014, as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Energy Resources at the Department of State from August 2014 to September 2017, and as Acting Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs from January to September 2017.
Julie Furuta-Toy is a former U.S. Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea. Following an initial announcement by President Barack Obama on June 18, 2015, Ambassador Furuta-Toy was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 22, 2015, and subsequently sworn in on November 24, 2015. She arrived in Malabo to take up her duties on January 7, 2016. Prior to her arrival in Equatorial Guinea, Ms. Furuta-Toy served as both Deputy Chief of Mission and chargé d'affaires at the Embassy of the United States, Oslo, (2012-2015). Her lengthy tenure as chargé d'affaires stemmed from delays related to the nomination and confirmation of a new ambassador to Norway by the United States Senate.

Domestic assignments including public diplomacy advisor in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, and Office of the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs (2015-2017). She is a co-author of "Diplomacy for a Diffuse World."
Christine E. Schmidt is an American biomedical engineer. As a professor at the University of Florida, Schmidt was inducted into the Florida Inventors Hall of Fame for her creation of the Avance Nerve Graft which has "improved the lives of numerous patients suffering from peripheral nerve damage."
