Audax Groep is a Dutch print media and retail company, active also in Belgium. Its headquarters are located in Gilze. Audax was founded in 1958 by Jacques de Leeuw. Jacques de Leeuw led the company until 2017 when he was replaced by his son, Hubert de Leeuw. In 2019 he was replaced by Casper de Nooijer. In 2020, Hubert de Leeuw took over the lead again. In May 2021 Audax published an intention to sell off the Marskramer, Novy and Prima stores it had acquired in 2019. In August 2021, these were acquired by the toy chain Otto Simon.
Free Record Shop was a chain of home entertainment stores selling products such as CDs, DVDs and video games, founded by Hans Breukhoven. Its first store opened on October 15, 1971 in Schiedam, Netherlands. At its peak, the franchise had more than 200 stores in the Netherlands and Belgium, but online available music and media supplanted the sale of physical media carriers.

Formido bouwmarkten B.V. was a Dutch Hardware store-chain. Formido opened its first store on 22 November 1976 in Waddinxveen. It was part of the franchise-organisation Maxeda, which headquarters is located in Amsterdam. As of 2011 Formido had 80 stores, all of which were located in the Netherlands. Of these stores, 15 were managed by Formido and 65 were franchised. Maxeda also owns the Hardware store-chain Praxis and Brico.
Hubo is a Dutch hardware store-chain. Hubo Netherlands and Hubo Belgium are two separate entities. Hubo is part of the franchise-organisation DGN Retail, which headquarters is located in Apeldoorn. DGN Retail also owns the Hardware store-chains Multimate Service Bouwmarkt, Fixet and Doeland. Hubo is the oldest Hardware store franchise in the Netherlands, starting its franchising business in 1969. As of 2011 Hubo has over 200 stores, all of which are located in the Netherlands, making it the largest Hardware store-chain in the Netherlands in number of stores.

The company had the initial support of ING Bank, which was joined later by Belgian banks KBC Bank and Belfius, and launched its first minimum-viable product in Belgium, in 2015. What started as a mobile payment app is today a fully-fledged platform offering multi-country payment solutions in Benelux, through different types of integration: stand-alone apps, bank app integrations and more.
