Buzz!: Brain of... is the eighth title in the Buzz! series of quiz video games. The game has 21 regional variations with the game's title being changed depending upon region, but the basic concept behind the game remains the same. [1]

The questions in Buzz!: Brain of the UK are specifically about UK general knowledge. Wildlife, TV, Sport. [2] The versions of the game for other countries follow the same pattern except for being slanted towards general knowledge with a connection to that specific country.

The PlayStation 3 version of the game will feature online play and will also allow access to user created questions on the My Buzz! site as well as leaderboards that rank online play.

Brain of the UK was available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable, the first time that a single title in the Buzz! series has been available on multiple platforms.

The PlayStation Portable version features a single player game and, like the previous Buzz! PSP game Buzz!: Master Quiz , Brain of the UK has a "pass-around" mode to enable up to 6 players to take part in the same quiz.

The PlayStation 2 version of the game will follow the same format as previous Buzz! games for the platform. Essentially being the same as the PlayStation 3 version but with lower resolution graphics and no online features.

The game was developed by Relentless Software in association with the UK Government's Department for Education and Skills (DfES). The game's 5,000 questions are based on the Key Stage 2 Curriculum that covers children between the ages of 7 and 11 years.
Although the game is published by Sony the development cost were covered by Relentless themselves and a Government grant from DfES to fund the initial prototype.

Sony is publishing it. But we've funded it ourselves to get it out there. We really wanted to do something positive and this was a great opportunity afforded to us by the government. We don't make a penny from the version in schools but we will make money from retail sales if it sells well.

Buzz!: Master Quiz, is a 2008 video game developed by Relentless Software and Curve Studios for the PlayStation Portable, is the first game in the Buzz! series of quiz games to be made for a hand-held console.

Relentless Software

Relentless Software was a British video game company formed in 2003 that was based in Brighton. The company was best known for developing 12 games in the BAFTA award-winning and multi-million selling Buzz! franchise from 2005 to 2010. Relentless released its first self-published title, Blue Toad Murder Files on PC and PSN in 2009 and Quiz Climber Rivals, for iPhone in 2011. Relentless has also developed Air Band and Mutation Station, for the Kinect Fun Labs series. In 2012 it released Kinect Nat Geo TV, after which co-founder David Amor left the studio. In 2014 the studio released Murder Files: The Enigma Express on iOS, Google Play, Google Chrome and Kindle Fire. In 2016 the studio was shut down. The studio was working on an unannounced title for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One before closure.

<i>Buzz!: Brain Bender</i>

Buzz!: Brain Bender, developed by Curve Studios for the PlayStation Portable, is the second game in the Buzz! series to be made for a hand-held console. Unlike other games in the Buzz! series Brain Bender is a puzzle game rather than a quiz game. The game features 16 mini-games covering four categories: Analysis, Observation, Memory, and Calculation with each category having three levels of difficulty easy, normal, and hard. You Don't Know Jack is a 2011 party video game developed by Jellyvision Games and published by THQ. It was Jellyvision's first entry in the You Don't Know Jack series after taking an eight-year hiatus. The game was released in North America on February 8, 2011, for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 platforms. The game took advantage of online connectivity and other features of modern gaming consoles. A single player iOS port was released about two months later, but was later pulled in anticipation of a more robust client based on the Facebook version of the game.
