Overland Park is the second-most populous city in the U.S. state of Kansas. Located in Johnson County, it is a principal city of the Kansas City metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 197,238.

Pepperdine University is a private research university affiliated with the Churches of Christ with its main campus in Los Angeles County, California. Dakota State University (DSU) is a public university in Madison, South Dakota. The school was founded in 1881 as a normal school, or teacher training school. Education is still the university's heritage mission, but a signature mission of technology was added by the state legislature in 1984 to specialize in "programs in computer management, computer information systems, and other related undergraduate and graduate programs."

The institution was accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission. The university closed in August 2022.

It was established in 1897 by Daniel David Palmer and was the first school of chiropractic in the world. Kansas Christian College is a private, four-year Christian college in Overland Park, Kansas, United States, affiliated with the Church of God (Holiness). The college is accredited with the Association for Biblical Higher Education, a commission recognized by United States Department of Education. The sports programs associated fielded by Kansas Christian College are nicknamed the Falcons, and compete in the NCCAA.
