eGG Network [1] name eGG (every Good Game) (formerly Astro SuperSport Plus) is the first e-sports HD channel in Southeast Asia and was launched at 7 June 2016. This channel focuses on e-sports and broadcasts electronic games tournaments live around the world. The first tournament broadcast through this channel was The International Dota 2 Championships 2015. [2] Since then, eGG has been actively broadcasting and producing eSports related content.
The International 2015 (TI5) was the fifth edition of The International, an annual Dota 2 esports championship tournament, which took place at the KeyArena in Seattle. Hosted by Valve Corporation, the game's developer, the tournament began in May with the qualifier phase and ended after the main event in August.
The Boston Major was a professional Dota 2 esports tournament that took place in Boston in the United States. The main event was played live at the Wang Theatre from December 7–10, 2016. Like other tournaments in the Dota 2 Major Championship series, the event featured 16 teams from around the world and had a $3,000,000 prize pool, with the victor winning $1,000,000. The event was presented and produced by PGL, who also had the same role at the previous Major in Manila.
The International (TI) is an annual Dota 2 esports tournament hosted by Valve Corporation, the game's developer. The first tournament took place in Cologne, Germany at Gamescom in 2011 and was held shortly after the public reveal of Dota 2, with a total prize pot of $1.6 million. The second International took place in 2012 at the Benaroya Hall in Seattle, and retained the same $1.6 million prize structure. For the third International in 2013, again at Benaroya Hall, Valve introduced an interactive, digital "compendium" which fans could purchase to follow the event and contribute to the prize pool; which reached a $2.8 million prize pool with $1.2 million added from compendium purchases.
The Frankfurt Major, also known as the Fall Major, was a Dota 2 tournament which took place from November 13–21, 2015. The tournament took place at the Festhalle Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany. It was the first of three Valve Corporation sponsored major Dota tournaments for the 2015-16 season, which were announced by the company on April 25, 2015. 16 teams competed in the tournament, which used the same format as The International 2015. The Electronic Sports League (ESL) hosted and organized the tournament.
The League of Legends World Championship is the annual professional League of Legends world championship tournament hosted by Riot Games and is the culmination of each season. Teams compete for the champion title, the 70 pounds (32 kg) Summoner's Cup, and a US$1 million championship prize. In 2017, the finals were watched by 60 million people, breaking 2016's finals' viewer record. The tournament has been widely praised for its ceremonial performances, while receiving attention worldwide due to its multiple dramatic and emotional series. A donation of US$2 million was raised through the sales of the Worlds 2017 Championship Ashe skin.
League of Legends Champions Korea, commonly abbreviated as LCK, is the primary competition for League of Legends esports in South Korea. Contested by 10 teams, the league runs two seasons per year and serves as a direct route to qualification for the annual League of Legends World Championship. The LCK is administered in cooperation between Riot Games, KeSPA, OGN, and SPOTV Games.
The Garena Premier League (GPL) is a professional League of Legends eSports league with teams in Southeast Asia. It was founded in 2012. The opening event took place on May 5 with Riot's CEO Brandon Beck, VP of Gaming Dustin Beck, Taiwanese game designer Jeff Lin, and Nikasaur attending personally. It is the first regional professional eSports competition of League of Legends in the world. In last season - 2018 Spring - the league consists of 5 teams who are the champions of 5 national leagues in Southeast Asia. The top four teams of group stage are advanced to the playoff, which are held in a best-of-5 single elimination system.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Hidden Path Entertainment and Valve Corporation. It is the fourth game in the Counter-Strike series and was released for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on August 21, 2012, while the Linux version was released in 2014.

FIFA is responsible for the organization of football's major international tournaments, notably the World Cup which commenced in 1930 and the Women's World Cup which commenced in 1991.
Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game developed and published by Valve Corporation. The game is a sequel to Defense of the Ancients (DotA), which was a community-created mod for Blizzard Entertainment's Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion pack, The Frozen Throne. Dota 2 is played in matches between two teams of five players, with each team occupying and defending their own separate base on the map. Each of the ten players independently controls a powerful character, known as a "hero", who all have unique abilities and differing styles of play. During a match, players collect experience points and items for their heroes to successfully defeat the opposing team's heroes in player versus player combat. A team wins by being the first to destroy a large structure located in the opposing team's base, called the "Ancient".
eGG have close relationship with other eSports teams which include Fnatic (Dota 2), Team NP (Dota2), ViewSonic Flash Vision (Street Fighter V) and other organisations in the eSports community.
eGG is available on Astro and its free-to-air counterpart, NJOI, in Malaysia on channel 808. It is also available in Brunei on Kristal-Astro, in Australia on Fetch TV (Channel 143), in Singapore on Singtel TV (Mio Sports Plus channel 126) and in Indonesia thru online streaming on Tribe OTT service.
It is also available in the Philippines online via Tribe and on digital terrestrial television through stations owned by Broadcast Enterprises and Affiliated Media, Inc (BEAM) in Manila, Cebu and Davao on channel 32.7; Iloilo on Channel 42.7 and Baguio on channel 27.7. BEAM's feed, which was launched on 12 April 2017 due to links between Astro and BEAM's owner Globe Telecom, broadcasts for 18 hours daily (due to current rules set by the country's National Telecommunications Commission regarding network-affiliated media groups) and operates via direct satellite in 4:3 letterboxed aspect ratio (like most of BEAM's subchannels).
Esports is a form of competition using video games. Most commonly, esports takes the form of organized, multiplayer video game competitions, particularly between professional players, individually or as teams. Although organized online and offline competitions have long been a part of video game culture, these were largely between amateurs until the late 2000s, when participation by professional gamers and spectatorship in these events through live streaming saw a large surge in popularity. By the 2010s, esports was a significant factor in the video game industry, with many game developers actively designing toward a professional esports subculture.
SK Gaming is a professional esports organization based in Germany that has teams across the world competing in different titles. SK is particularly known for their success in Counter-Strike (CS) tournaments. SK's Brazilian CS team won the ESL One Cologne 2016 Major. SK currently has players and teams competing in League of Legends and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. SK Gaming was founded in 1997 by a small group of Quake players in Oberhausen.

Dignitas is a professional esports team based in the United Kingdom, founded by Michael "ODEE" O'Dell on 9 September 2003 when Battlefield 1942 clans Legion Condor and Sweden Kompanix merged. Team Dignitas was acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers in September 2016. The team has a rich history across many different esports, but is best known for its former League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squads.
ESPN Brasil is a group of cable television network, launched in March 1989. ESPN Brasil was the first country-specific version of ESPN outside the United States, launched in June 1995. Gambit Esports, also known by its former name Gambit Gaming, is a Russian esports organisation based in the United Kingdom. It was established in January 2013 after the acquisition of the former League of Legends roster of Moscow Five. The team previously had a team competing in the European League of Legends Championship Series.

Syed Sumail Hassan, better known as simply Sumail, is a Pakistani professional Dota 2 player for Evil Geniuses. Sumail was a member of the team that won The International 2015, alongside Fear, Aui_2000, UNiVeRsE, and ppd. Born in Karachi, Pakistan, he currently lives in Rosemont, Illinois as a resident of the United States.
Astralis is a Danish organization owned by players of the former Danish Team SoloMid/Questionmark lineup, with the help of their manager, Frederik "realition" Byskov. The rights to the Astralis name were obtained from the original founders of the Finnish Counter-Strike team.
Peter Rasmussen, known under the moniker dupreeh, is a Danish professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player who currently plays the role of entry for Astralis together with his teammates dev1ce, Magisk, Xyp9x and gla1ve. He also used to play for Team Dignitas and Team SoloMid. He was sidelined during ESL One Cologne 2016 after developing appendicitis on July 6, 2016. Dupreeh's father died on February 18th, 2019.
Flipside Tactics is an American eSports organization, with teams competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Halo, CrossFire ,fighting games, StarCraft II, Rocket League. The organization formerly had a team competing in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege and Dota 2. Former professional football player Ricky Lumpkin is a co-owner of the team.
Every Good Game Network or eGG Network, is a 24-hour satellite television network dedicated to eSports and professional video gaming. It was launched in July 2016 and is produced by Astro Malaysia which currently broadcasts esports programming on Channel 808. It is the first dedicated 24/7 HD eSports television channel in Southeast Asia. In December 2016 it launched in Australia.
ELEAGUE, shortened as EL, is an esports league and American television show that aired on TBS. It was announced in September 2015 as a partnership between Turner Broadcasting and talent agency WME/IMG. The name "ELEAGUE" was officially unveiled later that year.
Hajime Taniguchi, better known as Tokido, is a Japanese fighting game player. Active in the King of Fighters and Street Fighter franchises, Tokido has a unique play style. Tokido is renowned for playing multiple fighting games on a competitive level in addition to Street Fighter, including Tekken, Marvel vs Capcom 3, BlazBlue, and more. Tokido is a three-time EVO champion, having won Capcom vs. SNK 2 in 2002 as well as winning Super Street Fighter II Turbo in 2007 and Street Fighter V ten years later. Tokido has had 19+ Evolution top 8 finishes in 9 different games across 15 years, a feat surpassed only by Justin Wong.
PSG Esports is a French professional esports organization founded in 2016, and based in the city of Paris in France. The club is the esports department of Paris Saint-Germain Football Club. PSG Esports was officially formed on 20 October 2016 by Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi during a press conference held at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
Jordan Gilbert, better known as n0thing, is an American Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player. He previously played as a rifler/lurker for Cloud9, before going inactive. n0thing is one of the most experienced North American players. Before playing Global Offensive, n0thing was a professional Counter Strike 1.6 player.
