ESPN Latin America (on-air as ESPN) is the Latin American division of ESPN Inc., and broadcasts sports-related programming for the region in Spanish. It was launched on 31 March 1989. Its programming is adapted to the likes of viewers, who tend to prefer football and Hispanic baseball players to the more locally produced programs.

ESPN Latin America, unlike its U.S. sister channels, has more programs related to football and tennis.

The Disney/Hearst Corporation joint venture has also added some secondary regional channels for the Latin American region in the last few years, like ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPN4, ESPN5, ESPN Extra and ESPN Premium.

In 2011, ESPN launched a new channel, named ESPN3, which is divided in four segments: Live (broadcasts live coverage of sport events), Compact (resumed sport events), ESPN 3.0 (extreme sports) and ESPN Series (featuring "30 For 30").

In November 2021, Disney announced that a new channel named ESPN 4 would be launched on December 1, 2021 (except in Argentina and Mexico) after Disney rebranded Fox Sports' main channel in Latin America with ESPN Premium, ESPN 4, ESPN 5, ESPN 6, ESPN 7 following on February 15, 2024, after Disney rebranded Fox Sports 1, ESPN Extra, ESPN 4, Fox Sports 2 and Fox Sports 3 respectively. ESPN is the Brazilian division of ESPN Inc. Launched in March 1989 as Canal+, it was the first country-specific version of ESPN outside the United States, launched in June 1995. The channel has covered major sporting events, like the 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics; the 1998, 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 1999, 2003 and 2007 Pan-American Games. ESPN 2 is a Latin American pay-television channel based in Buenos Aires broadcasting for Spanish-speaking Latin American countries. Its programming is mostly football-, tennis- and rugby union-related.

Association football is the most popular sport in almost all South American countries. There are a wide range of sports played in the continent of South America. Astro SuperSport is an English language in-house subscription satellite television network in Malaysia dedicated to broadcasting sports-related content 24 hours a day. Astro SuperSport 1 to 4 are available on the Astro via Channels 811 to 814 (HD) to subscribers of the Sports Pack only. The Sports Pack features a total of 15 sports channels covering sporting events from all over the world.

ESPN4 is a Brazilian sports channel that was launched on 5 February 2012 as Fox Sports, replacing the Brazilian variant of Speed. A second channel, Fox Sports 2 was launched on 24 January 2014, which continues to use the Fox Sports name temporarily due to contractual obligations. On May 6, 2020 Brazil's antitrust regulator CADE announced that Fox Sports and ESPN Brasil could merge as part of the 21st Century Fox merger with Disney, with it remaining as-is until January 1, 2022 due to its broadcast rights and overall structure.

Fox Sports was a group of channels available in Latin America and operated by The Walt Disney Company Latin America, a unit of the Disney International Operations. The network was focused on sports-related programming including live and pre-recorded event broadcasts, sports talk shows and original programming, available throughout Latin America.
