Eleanore T. Wurtzel (b.1954) is an American biologist currently at Lehman College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She was an elected fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. [1] [2] Her research interests include studying plant biochemical pathways to provide knowledge and tools for developing sustainable solutions to worldwide Vitamin A deficiency and malnutrition. [3]

Elizabeth Lee Wurtzel was an American writer, journalist, and lawyer known for the confessional memoir Prozac Nation, which she published at the age of 27. Her work often focused on chronicling her personal struggles with depression, addiction, career, and relationships. Wurtzel's work drove a boom in confessional writing and the personal memoir genre during the 1990s, and she was viewed as a voice of Generation X. In her later life, Wurtzel worked briefly as an attorney before her death from breast cancer.

Esther Allen is a writer, professor, and translator of French-language and Spanish-language literature into English. She is on the faculties of Baruch College and the Graduate Center, CUNY. Allen co-founded PEN World Voices: the New York Festival of International Literature (2004), and worked with PEN/Heim Translation Fund Grants from their inception in 2003 to 2010.
