The Asian Fencing Confederation (AFC) or Fencing Confederation of Asia (FCA) is an international body created in 1988, charged with the promotion and development of fencing in Asia. [1] It organises the Asian Fencing Championships annually, in all levels: seniors, juniors and cadet, under 23 and veterans. [2]

Lydia Hatuel-Czuckermann Israeli fencer

Lydia Hatuel-Czuckermann is an Israeli fencer. One of Israel's top female fencers, she competed in the individual foil event at the 1984, 1992, and 1996 Olympiads. Her fencing career started at the age of 8, she maintained an international ranking until 2004, and she still competed at the national level in 2012.

Fencing in the Philippines is governed by the Philippine Fencing Association or PFA. Founded by Francisco Dayrit Sr., PFA is recognized by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) as one of its National Sports Association members and by the Federation Internationale d'Escrime (FIE), the international governing body for the sport. PFA is also a founding member of the Southeast Asian Fencing Federation (SEAFF) and the Asian Fencing Confederation (AFC). Richard Gomez is currently the president of PFA while Celso Dayrit is currently the president of the Fencing Confederation of Asia.

South Asian Football Federation

South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), founded in 1997, is an association of the football playing nations in South Asia and is part of the larger Asian Football Confederation. Its founding members are Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Bhutan joined the federation in 2000 and Afghanistan in 2005. In February 2015, captain Haroon Amiri announced that Afghanistan had officially left the SAFF for the new Central Asian Football Association.

Asia Oceania Floorball Confederation

The Asia Oceania Floorball Confederation (AOFC) is a floorball confederation consisting of 15 nations spanning across 2 continents, Asia and Oceania.

Houshmand Almasi was an Iranian fencer. He competed in the individual and team foil, épée and sabre events at the 1964 Summer Olympics.

Aliaksandr Buikevich Belarusian fencer

Aliaksandr Mikalayevich Buikevich is a Belarusian sabre fencer, European champion in 2008 and team silver medallist at the 2011 World Championships in Catania. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, he reached the quarter-finals in the individual sabre, losing to Romania's Mihai Covaliu, while the Belarusian sabre team also reached the quarter-finals. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the men's sabre, but was defeated in the table of 16 by Romania's Rareș Dumitrescu. The Belarusian team again reached the quarter-finals. Buikevich qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro as the only Belarusian fencer. In men's sabre in the table of 32 he defeated Joseph Polossifakis of Canada. He could not advance to the quarter-finals as in the table of 16 he lost to the eventual winner Áron Szilágyi of Hungary, who claimed his second consecutive gold medal at the Olympics individual men's sabre. Buikevich finished 12th in the event.

Amira Ben Chaabane is a Tunisian sabre fencer; gold medallist at the 2010 African Fencing Championships. She qualified to the individual event of the 2012 Summer Olympics as one of the best top-ranked fencers of the African zone. She was defeated 15-12 in the first round by Chen Xiaodong of China. In 2019, she won the African Fencing Championships again.

Alina Komashchuk Ukrainian sabre fencer

Alina Ivanivna Komashchuk is a Ukrainian sabre fencer. Competing in team events, she is the 2013 World champion and 2016 Olympic silver medalist.

Chen Haiwei Chinese foil fencer

Chen Haiwei is a Chinese competitive foil fencer. He has won three medals at the Asian Fencing Championships, two medals at the Asian Games, and two medals at the World Fencing Championships.

The ABSC African Snooker Championship is an annual snooker competition and is the highest ranking and most prestigious amateur event in Africa. The event series is sanctioned by the African Billiards & Snooker Confederation having been established back in 1993 the winner of the event often becomes the African nomination for the World Snooker Tour. Throughout the tournaments early history the championship was dominated by South African players however at the turn of the millennium Egyptian players became the dominant force in the championship, winning 9 of 12 championships since the year 2000.

Mariano Araneta

Mariano V. Araneta, Jr. is a Filipino sports executive, businessman and retired footballer. Araneta formerly played for the Philippines national football team. He is the current President of the Philippine Football Federation and a member of the FIFA Council since May 2017.

Sun Feixiang is a Chinese badminton player from Yichang. He was the gold medalists at the 2016 Asian and World Junior Championships in the boys' singles event. He won his first senior international title at the 2017 China International tournament in the men's singles event, and claimed his first BWF Tour title in 2019 Indonesia Masters Super 100 tournament.

The Asian Women’s Softball Championship is the main championship tournament between national women's softball teams in Asia, governed by the Softball Confederation of Asia.

The 2019 SAFF Women's Championship was the 5th edition of the SAFF Women's Championship, the biennial international women's football championship contested by the national teams of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Initially, scheduled from 17 to 26 December 2018 in Sri Lanka, the competition was rescheduled, as Sri Lanka withdrew as hosts. Afterwards, it was scheduled to be held in 2019 from 12–22 March and to be hosted by Nepal. India won the tournament by defeating Nepal 3–1 in the final.

The 2022 ASEAN Club Championship or the 2022 ACC will be the third edition of the ASEAN Club Championship, an international association football competition between domestic champion clubs sides affiliated with the member associations of the ASEAN Football Federation. It is the first ACC to commence since 2005.

Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation

The Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, known by the abbreviation APGC, is an Asia-Pacific federation of national golf associations. The APGC organizes the major international amateur championships in the region and promotes golf.

The Judo Union of Asia (JUA) is the governing body of judo in Asia. It is one of the five continental confederations making up the International Judo Federation (IJF). JUA was formed in 1956 in Tokyo (Japan), with Chinese Taipei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Philippines and Thailand being the founder members. JUA has headquarters in Kuwait and consists of 39 member federations.
