I Like to Watch is a 2019 American web series hosted by drag queens Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova. The series was created by Netflix, and streams on the company's YouTube channel. I Like to Watch films its hosts as they view and react to various Netflix Original Programming and licensed films streaming on Netflix. The first season aired from November 21, 2019, to March 21, 2020. A second season, recorded in the duo's homes during the COVID-19 pandemic, premiered on May 23, 2020. The third season, still recorded from home but with the hosts together in person before moving to a new set, premiered on February 20, 2021. The series won a People's Voice Webby Award in 2022. In 2023 the series won a Bronze Anthem Award in the Awareness & Media categories for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

I Like to Watch was created for Netflix's queer social channel "Most".[ citation needed ] Mattel and Zamolodchikova first appeared together as contestants on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race and would go on to jointly appear in a range of projects, including the web series UNHhhh and The Trixie & Katya Show . [10] The series was first teased on Mattel's Instagram on November 20, 2019, with the first episode of the series released the subsequent day. [11]
I Like to Watch was positively received by critics, with a review of the first episode for Pajiba noting that "when Trixie and Katya join forces, it's a blend of whimsy, wackiness, and raunch so intoxicating it feels like downing a pair of Absolut Vodka cocktails." [12] The series was also positively reviewed by Out , [13] PinkNews , [14] and NewNowNext . [15] The New York Times cited I Like to Watch as an example of a reality television series that "offer[s] gentle escapism in a genre better known for manipulating participants for entertainment." The Times further noted the similarities between the series and the Channel 4 series Gogglebox , describing I Like to Watch as "extremely reminiscent of Gogglebox, but with more glamour." A representative for Netflix responded that the network would "let the work speak for itself." [16]

In the episode featuring Trixie and Katya watching My Best Friend's Wedding, the 90’s rom com classic, one of the film’s stars Rupert Everett says hello. When watching the Twilight Saga, Elvira addresses Katya and a skeleton Trixie. Lindsay Lohan greets Trixie and Katya before they watch her holiday film Falling For Christmas. Megan Thee Stallion, while having no affiliation with Wednesday the series, greets Trixie and Katya before they watch the show. Stars of Heartstopper Kit Connor and Joe Locke, asked Trixie and Katya on social media to watch their series and "do their worst" and surprise Trixie and Katya with a greeting asking for the same.[ citation needed ] Annie Murphy and Salma Hayek Pinault appeared onstage during the live episode for Joan is Awful.
A British version of the show, I Like to Watch UK, premiered on Netflix UK & Ireland's YouTube channel on March 25, 2020. It features The Vivienne from the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK in a similar format to the American version, joined by various guests. So far the series has also featured fellow RuPaul's Drag Race UK stars Baga Chipz, Cheryl Hole, Lawrence Chaney and Tia Kofi, as well as RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars winner Monét X Change, and television personality Kim Woodburn. A special 'on tour' edition of I Like to Watch UK featuring Tia Kofi & Layla Zee Susan, Blu Hydrangea & Gypsy Divine, and Cheryl Hole & Stacey Rhect premiered on New Year's Eve 2021 (regular host The Vivienne did not appear in this episode).

Brian Michael Firkus, better known by the stage name Trixie Mattel, is an American drag queen, television personality, and singer-songwriter originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is known for her exaggerated, high-camp, 1960s-influenced style, distinctive eye makeup, and her blend of comedy, acoustic pop and folk-country music; Mattel sings and plays guitar and the autoharp. In 2015, she competed on the seventh season of the drag reality television competition RuPaul's Drag Race, placing sixth. In 2018, she went on to win the third season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.
Brian Joseph McCook, known by his drag persona Yekaterina Petrovna Zamolodchikova, or mononymously as Katya, is an American drag queen, actor, author, recording artist, and comedian. Katya is best known for placing fifth on the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race and placing as a runner-up on the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, as well as for appearing in the World of Wonder web series UNHhhh and the Viceland series The Trixie & Katya Show with co-host and fellow season 7 alum Trixie Mattel. Trixie and Katya often appear together as a popular comedy duo.

Mo Heart, formerly Monique Heart, is the stage name of Kevin Leandrew Richardson, an American drag queen, reality television personality, and recording artist best known for competing on the tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race (2018), the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars (2018–2019), and the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World (2022). Since first appearing on Drag Race in 2018, Mo Heart has appeared in a number of web series produced by World of Wonder, including a starring role in Manic Moments With Monique Heart, and hosted her own podcast, Ace of Hearts with Monique Heart. In January 2019, she released her debut single "Brown Cow Stunning", and later released her debut extended play Beloved SoS 6.3 in 2020.
UNHhhh is an American comedy web series starring drag queens Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova. In the series, Trixie and Katya discuss a topic humorously in front of a green screen. UNHhhh premiered on March 25, 2016, one year after Mattel and Zamolodchikova appeared in the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race. The show is aired through World Of Wonder's YouTube channel, as well as through its video-on-demand service WOW Presents Plus. UNHhhh has been nominated for ten Streamy Awards throughout its run, winning Unscripted Series at the 2020 ceremony, which the duo also hosted.
Leo Loren, better known by the stage name Baga Chipz, is an English drag queen known for competing on the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK (2019) and later the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World (2022). Baga Chipz also appeared in the fifth series of the Channel 4 school drama series Ackley Bridge (2022).
Blu Hydrangea is the stage name of Joshua Cargill, a Northern Irish drag queen from Belfast who is known for competing on the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2019 and later winning the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World in 2022.
Cheryl Hole is the stage name of Luke Underwood-Bleach, an English drag queen from Chelmsford in Essex who is known for being one of the first contestants on RuPaul's Drag Race UK (2019) and later the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World (2022). Cheryl Hole's act is based on former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole.
James Lee Williams, better known by the stage name The Vivienne, is a drag queen, known for being appointed the first UK RuPaul's Drag Race ambassador in 2015, winning the first series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2019, and later returning to compete in the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars in 2022. As part of her victory, she was awarded her own online television series, later titled The Vivienne Takes on Hollywood. The series premiered on 9 April 2020 on BBC Three and follows her trip to Hollywood to produce her own music video.
"Break Up (Bye Bye)" is a song recorded by British drag girl group the Frock Destroyers for the Girl Group Battle Royale challenge during their stint on the first series of the reality television competition, RuPaul's Drag Race UK. During the episode the contestants had to create girl groups to participate in the challenge; there were two versions of the song released, the first being by Divina de Campo, Baga Chipz and Blu Hydrangea. The alternate version was released by Filth Harmony, consisting of Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne, Cheryl Hole and Crystal, however the latter did not chart. The song was released on 31 October 2019. The song was also included in the band's debut album, Frock4Life, which was released 11 December 2020. The song was primarily written by Leland, with De Campo, Chipzs and Hydrangea writing the lyrics for their individual verses.
Digital Drag Fest was a digital drag concert series hosted by Producer Entertainment Group. Beginning on March 27, 2020, it was originally supposed to be a limited engagement until April 12 but, due to overwhelming demand, the series was extended to May 30. The aim of the series is to allow drag and LGBT performers who have had shows cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic a chance to perform for their fans. 50 percent of the proceeds from the event's merchandise would be donated to GLAAD, and several performers from the event also pledged a portion of their ticket sales to the organization.
The 10th Annual Streamy Awards was the tenth installment of the Streamy Awards honoring the best in American streaming television series and their creators. The ceremony was held on December 12, 2020, hosted by drag queens Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova and streamed exclusively to YouTube. To adhere to social distancing restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the duo presented the awards from a party bus travelling around Los Angeles. The Streamys introduced the Creator Honor awards for the 10th Streamy Awards, presented by past Streamy Award winners to new or breakout creators that resonated with them in 2020. The show also featured "spotlight segments" in which content creators highlighted important social and cultural issues such as racial justice, COVID adaptability, and mental health.
God Shave the Queens is a documentary streaming television series about the tour following each series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. The show originally premiered internationally on 10 September 2020 on WOW Presents Plus internationally, and BBC iPlayer on 15 November 2020 in the United Kingdom.
Vampire Fitness is the debut extended play by American drag performer Katya Zamolodchikova, released by Producer Entertainment Group on November 13, 2020. The EP features guest appearances by fellow RuPaul's Drag Race contestants Alaska Thunderfuck and Trixie Mattel.
George Ward, better known by the stage name Cherry Valentine, was an English drag queen and mental health nurse who competed in the second series of the television show RuPaul's Drag Race UK. Raised in a Romanichal community, Ward has been credited as the first contestant on the Drag Race franchise to acknowledge his Romani heritage. In 2022, he addressed his background in the BBC documentary film Cherry Valentine: Gypsy Queen and Proud, and in an episode of the documentary series God Shave the Queens. Following Ward's suicide in 2022, a memorial concert and fundraiser was held at London's Clapham Grand.
Lawrence John Bolton, better known by the stage name Tia Kofi, is a British drag queen from Clapham, South London. They are best known for competing on the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK (2021), and winning the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World (2024).
Trixie and Katya's Guide to Modern Womanhood is a 2020 book by drag queens Trixie and Katya, published by Plume Books, an imprint of Penguin Group. It was published in the UK and Australia by Penguin's Ebury Publishing imprint. It is a parody of self-help and etiquette books for women. It includes both serious and satirical advice on housekeeping, fashion and relationships.
WOW Presents Plus is a subscription-based streaming service owned by production company, World of Wonder. The subscription service was founded in November 2017, by Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey. The service offers a multitude of original series, including shows like Painted with Raven and UNHhhh.
Trixie and Katya is a comedy duo consisting of drag queens Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamolodchikova. The two have been known for their individual careers as entertainers and often as a popular double act.
