India TV is a Hindi right-wing [1] news channel based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The channel was launched on 20 May 2004 by Rajat Sharma and his wife Ritu Dhawan. [2] The channel is a subsidiary of Independent News Service, which was co-founded by Sharma and Dhawan in 1997. [3] A rebranding of the channel took place in February 2022. [4]

History

In 1997, Rajat Sharma and Ritu Dhawan set up the Independent News Service (INS), the parent company which owns India TV. He co-founded India TV with his wife in April 2004 from a studio in Film City, Noida, India TV. Its Broadcast Centre is in Sector 85, Noida, UP, India

Prior to launching India TV, Rajat Sharma was previously the anchor of Aapki Adalat on Zee News and Janata Ki Adalat on Star News (now ABP News).

Gud Se Meetha Ishq is an Indian Hindi-language drama television series that premiered from 18 April 2022 on Star Bharat and digitally on Disney+ Hotstar. Produced by Film Farm India and an official remake of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Jol Nupur, it starred Pankhuri Awasthy Rode, Meera Deosthale, Ishaan Dhawan and Arhaan Behll. It went off air on 1 October 2022.

Ritu Maheshwari is an Indian Administrative Service officer currently serving as the Divisional Commissioner of Agra, Uttar Pradesh. She is the former chief executive officer of the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority and managing director of Noida Metro Rail Corporation.
