<i>Signs</i> (journal) Feminist academic journal

Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society is a peer-reviewed feminist academic journal. It was established in 1975 by Jean W. Sacks, Head of the Journals Division, with Catharine R. Stimpson as its first editor in Chief, and is published quarterly by the University of Chicago Press. Signs publishes essays examining the lives of women, men, and non-binary people around the globe from both historical and contemporary perspectives, as well as theoretical and critical articles addressing processes of gendering, sexualization, and racialization.

Feminist Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering women's studies that was established in 1972. It is an independent nonprofit publication housed at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. Besides scholarly articles, the journal also publishes creative writing, artwork and art essays, book reviews, political and social commentaries, interviews, and activist reports.

The Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) is a commercial citation index product of Clarivate Analytics. It was originally developed by the Institute for Scientific Information from the Science Citation Index. The Social Sciences Citation Index is a multidisciplinary index which indexes over 3,400 journals across 58 social science disciplines – 1985 to present, and it has 122 million cited references – 1900 to present. It also includes a range of 3,500 selected items from some of the world's finest scientific and technical journals. It has a range of useful search functions such as ‘cited reference searching’, searching by author, subject, or title. Whilst the Social Sciences Citation Index provides extensive support in bibliographic analytics and research, a number of academic scholars have expressed criticisms relating to ideological bias and its English-dominant publishing nature.

International Review for the Sociology of Sport is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers in the field of Sociology. The journal is edited by Lawrence Wenner, Von der Ahe Professor of Communication & Ethics at Loyola Marymount University, who replaced John Sugden in 2012. Dominic Malcolm took over as editor in 2018. It has been in publication since 1966 and is currently published by SAGE Publications in association with International Sociology of Sport Association.

The International Journal of Urban and Regional Research (IJURR) is a bimonthly peer-reviewed academic journal published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the IJURR Foundation. It was established in 1977 by a group of editors, who partnered with Edward Arnold for publishing. Blackwell took over publishing from Edward Arnold in 1991. The owners transferred IJURR to a charity in 1995. IJURR published quarterly until 2010. The journal covers urban and regional research topics from a social sciences perspective. The journal has an "Interventions" section, and also publishes book reviews, theoretical articles, and symposia.

IJFAB: International Journal of Feminist Approaches to Bioethics is a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal providing a forum in bioethics for feminist thought and debate. The journal is a publication of the International Network on Feminist Approaches to Bioethics. Mary Rawlinson was its inaugural editor (2006) and served in that capacity until she stepped down in 2016. She was replaced by a team of editors including Robyn Bluhm, Hilde Lindemann, Jamie Lindemann Nelson and Jackie Leach Scully. Kate Caras as an employee of Indiana University Press was the journal's publisher from 2006 to 2014. She then transitioned to the position of senior managing editor when production was taken over by the University of Toronto Press in 2014.

Critical Perspectives on Accounting is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Elsevier.
