Jordi Pigem (born April 30, 1964) is a Catalan philosopher and writer.
Pigem holds a Ph.D in Philosophy from the University of Barcelona (1998). He coordinated the ecology journal Integral between 1989 and 1992. From 1998 to 2003 he was a lecturer and coordinator of the Philosophy module for the Masters in Holistic Science at Schumacher College (in partnership with University of Plymouth) in Dartington, United Kingdom. In 1999 he won the Philosophy Award of the Institute of Catalan Studies with the dissertation El pensament de Raimon Panikkar: Una filosofia de la interdependència (Raimon Panikkar’s Thought: A Philosophy of Interdependence), and in 2006 he was awarded the Resurgence and Scientific and Medical Network Essay Award.
His latest book is "Inteligencia vital. Una vision postmaterialista de la vida y la conciencia"/ " Vital intelligence. A postmaterialistic view of life and consciousness" ( Kairos, 2016) . [1] He is a contributor to periodical publications in English, Spanish and Catalan, such as the Cultura/s supplement of La Vanguardia, Agenda Viva [2] (Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Foundation), Namaste, [3] Resurgence and Tikkun. [4] He has written about the major figures of holistic or systemic thinking, such as Leonardo da Vinci, [5] E.F. Schumacher, Fritjof Capra [6] or Ivan Illich. [7]
In October 2016, he receives the XXV Joan Maragall Award for his essay Àngels i robots. La interioritat humana en la societat hipertecnològica, a la llum de Guardini, Panikkar i l’Encíclica Laudato Si' (Angels and Robots. Human interiority in a hyper-technological society, by Guardini's light, Panikkar and the Encyclical Laudato Si'; here in spanish), awarded by the Joan Maragall Foundation. [8]

Sagrera railway station is a major through station under construction in the Barcelona districts of Sant Andreu and Sant Martí, in Catalonia, Spain. It is intended to serve as the central station for northern and eastern Barcelona, with Sants serving as the central station for southern and western Barcelona. Together with El Prat de Llobregat and Sants, currently the only high-speed rail stations in the Barcelona area, it will be on the Madrid–Barcelona high-speed rail line. It will also be on the conventional Barcelona–Cerbère and Barcelona–Mataró–Maçanet-Massanes railways. Once fully completed, it will be a major public transport hub, with dedicated stations on Barcelona Metro lines 4 and 9/10, as well as a bus station. The complex will be fully underground excepting for the station building, with two levels of platforms, accounting for a total of 18 railway tracks.
Juan Manuel Burgos Velasco is a Spanish Personalist philosopher. He holds a PhD in physics, and a PhD in philosophy. He is professor at the University San Pablo CEU, Madrid and at the John Paul II Institute, Madrid, a member of the Jacques Maritain International Institute, and distinguished guest professor at Galileo University. In 2007, he became an honorary professor at the Institute of Family Sciences (Guatemala) for his contribution to family sciences through his anthropology studies.
Xavier Miserachs i Ribalta was a Spanish photographer. He studied medicine at the University of Barcelona, but left school to be a photographer. He exhibited his work in Barcelona from 1956. His work is reminiscent of neorealism and is representative of the years of Spanish economic recovery, 1950–1960. His photographs show him as a creator of a new image of the city and its people. In 1998 he received the Creu de Sant Jordi of the Catalan government.

"Cant de la Senyera" is a composition for mixed chorus with music by Lluís Millet, lyrics based on a poem by Joan Maragall, composed expressly to be the hymn of the Orfeó Català choral group in the Catalonia community of Spain. It debuted at Montserrat in 1896, in a ceremony in honor of the Senyera, a traditional flag of the crown of Aragon which serves as the basis for other regional flags, including that of Catalonia.
Left Movement is a social-democratic, pro-independence political party in Catalonia. The party was founded in November 2014 from the merger of New Catalan Left (NECat) and Catalonia Movement, which had both been formed by dissident members of the Socialists' Party of Catalonia (PSC) who were dissatisfied with what they saw as the party's lack of support for the independence movement. Its founders included Marina Geli and Ernest Maragall (NECat), but both have ever since left for other parties—Geli joined the Together for Catalonia alliance ahead of the 2017 Catalan regional election, whereas Maragall defected to Republican Left of Catalonia (ERC) in 2018.
Societat Civil Catalana is a Barcelona-based grass-roots organisation that was created in 2014 with the aim of promoting Catalonia’s union to Spain. Most of SCC activities seek to counter the Catalan independence movement. SCC was officially launched on 23 April 2014.
Somatemps is a collective in Catalonia generally considered to be aligned with the far-right of Spain and also of being Spanish nationalist. They state to be committed to defend what they call "the hispanic identity of Catalonia". It was founded between 2011 and November 16, 2013 in Santpedor (Bages), where one of its founders, Josep Ramon Bosch, resides. The organisation is led by Javier Barraycoa. Currently Somatemps has around 300 members. The name of Somatemps was intended as word-play between "Som a temps"—"we are in time" —and the medieval Catalan militias Sometent. Somatemps has contributed to the creation of the association Catalan Civil Society.

Jorge Buxadé Villalba is a Spanish lawyer and politician who was elected as a Member of the European Parliament in the 2019 European Parliament election in Spain, and has been spokesperson for Vox since February 2020. He is a member of the national-conservative party Vox and previously worked for the People's Party between 2004 and 2014. In 1995, he was an unsuccessful candidate in the Catalan parliamentary election as a member of Falange Española de las JONS, and in 1996 he was number 8 in the Falange Auténtica list for Barcelona for the Spanish general election.
