K. Nageshwar is an Indian professor, politician, and political analyst. He served as member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council and subsequently in Telangana Legislative Council during 2007 to 2015. [1] Nageshwar is a professor at the Department of Communication & Journalism, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. [1] [2]

Career

He won the elections to the Legislative Council from the Graduates’ Constituency of Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar and Ranga Reddy districts first in 2007 and subsequently in 2009. Contesting as an Independent Candidate, he defeated the candidates belonging to the major political parties. [1] [3]

Earlier, he worked with Indian Express and the Times of India groups. During over three decades of journalistic experience, he published articles in the leading newspapers/magazines. He regularly comments on TV channels and his YouTube channel on wide-ranging issues of contemporary nature. Leading websites publish his articles. [4]

He received the Junior Research Fellowship in Journalism in 1986. He won the UGC Career Award in 1994. He has been the visiting professor at Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad; National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, National Police Academy, DR MCR Institute of Human Resource Development, NALSAR, SRM University and many Journalism Schools. He is the former editor of The Hans India, English Daily. He was earlier the Editor-in-Chief of Telugu news channel HMTV. He was the founder chairman of 10TV. He is the author of the books Interpreting Contemporary India; How to win at life. [6]

Vajja Sambasiva Rao, also known as V. S. Rao is an Indian academician and the former President of NIIT University. Relinquishing his position at NIIT University on 30 June 2020, he embraced the role of Vice-Chancellor at SRM University-AP, Andhra Pradesh from 1 July 2020. He was previously the Acting Vice-Chancellor of BITS Pilani, and the Director of the Hyderabad Campus of the university. He was responsible for establishing BITS Hyderabad campus. He is an alumnus of BITS Pilani and had been associated with the university for more than four decades in various capacities. As director, he was regarded as being instrumental in the establishment of the Hyderabad Campus.

ATMOS is the annual techno-management festival of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, located in Hyderabad, India. It is known for a wide range of events, such as workshops, quizzes, lectures, technical exhibitions and competitions. Among the notable events conducted annually during it are the national level quiz Enigma and BITS MUN Hyderabad. Started in 2012, ATMOS aims at improving the technical culture among Indian colleges as well as providing a platform to showcase their abilities. In its sixth year now, ATMOS is growing rapidly with participation from students, academicians, entrepreneurs and speakers from all over India.
