Shri Krishna, also known as Krishna is an Indian Hindi-language television mythological series, created, written and directed by Ramanand Sagar. It is an adaptation of the stories of the life of Krishna, based on Bhagavata Purana, Brahma Vaivarta Purana, Harivamsa, Vishnu Purana, Padma Purana, Garga Samhita, Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata.

Production

Shri Krishna was produced by Ramanand Sagar, Subhash Sagar, and Prem Sagar under the banner "Sagar Enterprises" and directed by Ramanand Sagar, Anand Sagar, and Moti Sagar. The role of young Krishna was played by Swapnil Joshi and adult Krishna was played by Sarvadaman D. Banerjee. Govind Khatri was initially roped in to play the role of Dushasan, however later ended with the role of Karna. [1] Ravindra Jain composed music for this serial.

The series was re-telecasted from 3 May 2020 to 16 December 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown in India.

The Bhagavata Purana, also known as the Srimad Bhagavatam, Srimad Bhagavata Mahapurana or simply Bhagavata, is one of Hinduism's eighteen great Puranas (Mahapuranas). <i>Krishna</i> (1996 Hindi film) 1996 Indian film

Krishna is a 1996 Indian action film directed by Deepak Shivdasani, starring Sunil Shetty, Karishma Kapoor, Om Puri, Shakti Kapoor, Tinnu Anand and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The film was an average grosser at the box office. The music of the film was also popular with hit songs such as "Jhanjariya". The film was mostly a remake of Deep Cover (1992) starring Lawrence "Larry" Fishburne and Jeff Goldblum. It was also inspired on Jeetendra and Hema Malini film Meri Aawaz Suno (1981) which itself was a remake of a Kannada film Antha (1981).

Dwarkadheesh– Bhagwaan Shree Krishna is an Indian television mythological series. It began airing on 4 July 2011 on Imagine TV and was stopped midway with the shutdown of Imagine TV in April 2012. The series intended to show Krishna as a valiant lover; a master strategist; and an ideal brother, father, son, and king. Ravindra Jain composed the title song and the music for the initial episodes. Afterwards, the composer was replaced by music director-duo Sunny Bawra and Inder Bawra. The serial was produced by Sagar films and had a re-run during the pandemic in 2020.

Jai Hanuman is a 1997 Indian television series based on the life of the Hindu deity Hanuman, an avatar of Shiva, in Hindi. It was directed by Sanjay Khan. The series was initially shown on the state-run DD National, and was later shown on Sony Entertainment Television in 2008.

"Melancholy" is an environmentally-themed song sung by 365 Nepali artists. This song was intended to promote an environmental message by breaking the Guinness World Records for "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording", which it successfully did. It was written, music composed and directed by environmentalist Nipesh Dhaka. The song was recorded as a single on 19 May 2016. The recording sessions were inaugurated by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli at 8 am and continued until 6 pm. The song was released on 2 September 2017 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Army Officer's Club, Kathmandu.

<i>RadhaKrishn</i> Indian mythological television series

RadhaKrishn is an Indian Hindi-language mythological television drama series that premiered on 1 October 2018 on Star Bharat and is also digitally available on Disney+ Hotstar. After a successful run of more than 5 years, it went off air on 21 January 2023. The series is a dramatisized version based on the life of Hindu deities Radha and Krishna. It is produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, Rahul Kumar Tewary and Gayatri Gill Tewary for Swastik Productions and is directed by Rahul Kumar Tewary. The roles of Krishna and Radha are played by Sumedh Mudgalkar and Mallika Singh. It completed 1145 episodes and is listed among longest running television series of India and also became the longest ran mythological series. It is also the longest running drama series on Star Bharat to date.
