The Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell is a multi-purpose facility owned by the University of Massachusetts Lowell and located in Lowell, Massachusetts. The arena was opened on January 27, 1998, and dedicated to the memory of the late Paul Tsongas, prominent Lowell native and U.S. senator. The arena was built with $4 million in funding from both the city and the university, plus another $20 million contributed from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

George Chigas is an American writer, scholar and expert on Cambodian culture and the crimes of the Khmer Rouge. He is currently an associate teaching professor in the World Languages and Cultures department at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Mary H. Blewett is an author and academic specializing in American social history, women's history, and labor history. She is an emeritus professor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, having retired in 1999 after 36 years. She is the author or co-author of six academic monographs and numerous articles as well as two novels.

Kenneth R. Fox Hall, also known as Fox Hall, is a residence hall and student dining facility in Lowell, Massachusetts. It is within the residence hall cluster on the East Campus of the University of Massachusetts Lowell. At 18 stories and 226 feet in height, it is the tallest building in the city of Lowell. When it was built, it was known as the Lowell Technical Institute Dormitory. The building is home to more than 800 students and UMass Lowell's largest student-dining hall, Fox Dining Commons. The transmitter for the university's radio station, WUML, is located at Fox Hall.

The Robert J. Manning School of Business is the business school at the University of Massachusetts Lowell located in Lowell, Massachusetts. The Manning School is accredited by AACSB International (AACSB).

The William J. and John F.Kennedy College of Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is so named for the Kennedy family and their contributions to the campus. John F. Kennedy is an alumnus of the Lowell Technological Institute Class of 1970. The Lowell Technological Institute merged with the Lowell State College to become the University of Lowell in 1972. It joined the UMass system in 1991 to become UMass Lowell.

Linda Biehl is an American philanthropist and mother of Amy Biehl, an activist who was murdered in 1993 in South Africa. She is the co-founder and director of the United States-based Amy Biehl Foundation and the South African-based Amy Biehl Foundation Trust.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jacqueline Moloney</span> American university chancellor

Jacqueline Moloney is an American educator and the former and first female chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Moloney’s career has focused heavily on expanding online education and promoting entrepreneurship. Her other research interests include access and inclusion in higher education, and public education.

The 2020–21 UMass Lowell River Hawks Men's ice hockey season was the 54th season of play for the program, the 38th season competing at the Division I level, and the 37th season in the Hockey East conference. The River Hawks represented the University of Massachusetts Lowell and were coached by Norm Bazin, in his 10th season.

Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology is a public research centre in Lowell, Massachusetts, affiliated by University of Massachusetts Lowell. The research centre has partners and grants from research giants like NASA, National Science Federation, BoldlyGo institute for its excellence in Space science research.

John Heling Shen-Sampas serves as the literary executor for the estate of Jack Kerouac.
