China, officially the People's Republic of China (PRC), has full diplomatic relations with 180 out of the other 192 United Nations member states, Cook Islands, Niue and the State of Palestine. As of 2024, China has had the most diplomatic missions of any state.
Jiang Zemin was a Chinese politician who served as general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from 1989 to 2002, as chairman of the Central Military Commission from 1989 to 2004, and as president of China from 1993 to 2003. Jiang was the third paramount leader of China from 1989 to 2002. He was the core leader of the third generation of Chinese leadership, one of four core leaders alongside Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, and Xi Jinping.
Lien Chan is a Taiwanese politician. The China-Mauritius refers to the bilateral relations between the island nation of the Republic of Mauritius and the People's Republic of China (PRC). Official diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on 15 April 1972 and, since then, relations between the two countries have been strong and have seen steady development. "Hurting the feelings of the Chinese people" is a political catchphrase used by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, in addition to Chinese state media organisations and Chinese Communist Party–affiliated news outlets such as the People's Daily, the China Daily and Xinhua News Agency to express dissatisfaction with or condemnation of the words, actions or policies of a person, organisation, or government that are perceived to be of an adversarial nature towards China, through the adoption of an argumentum ad populum position against the condemned target. Alternative forms of the catchphrase include "hurting the feelings of 1.3 billion people" and "hurting the feelings of the Chinese nation".
Zhang Qiyue is a retired Chinese diplomat who served as ambassador to Belgium (2005–08), Indonesia (2008–12), and Greece (2018–21). She is a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Li Zemin is a Chinese politician who previously served as the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Committee Secretary for Zhejiang Province from December 1988 to September 1998 and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang People's Congress from January 1998 to January 2003.
On October 22, 2022, Hu Jintao, former General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, was escorted out of the hall at the closing ceremony of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party.
