Marlene Wind is a Danish political scientist. She is a professor of political science at the University of Copenhagen, where she has been also Director of the Center for European Policy. She specializes in the law, policies, and politics of the European Union.
Wind studied at the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus/Aalborg, and in 1990 she graduated with a Master's Degree from the University of Massachusetts. [1] In 1993 she obtained a Master's Degree in political science from Aarhus University. [1] She then attended the European University Institute near Florence, where she earned her PhD in 1998. [1]
In 1996 Wind became a research assistant at the Danish Institute of Foreign Policy (da). In 1998, she visited Harvard Law School to study with Joseph H. H. Weiler. [1] In 1998 she became a professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Copenhagen. [1] That year she was also employed as a commentator at the Danish weekly newspaper Weekendavisen . [1] In 2008, she became the Director of the Centre for European Politics at the University of Copenhagen. [1] Wind has also held professorships at the iCourts Center at the University of Copenhagen and in the Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo. [1] Wind specializes in the interplay between law and politics in the EU, [2] particularly as it pertains to EU border politices. [3]
In 2009, Wind won the European Women's Award for her work communicating about European politics. [4] In 2012, Wind was the recipient of the inaugural Tøger Seidenfaden Prize, awarded to a European Union researcher who tirelessly disseminates knowledge about the European Union. [5]
Politiken is a leading Danish daily broadsheet newspaper, published by JP/Politikens Hus in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was founded in 1884 and played a role in the formation of the Danish Social Liberal Party. Since 1970 it has been independent of the party but maintains a liberal stance. It now runs an online newspaper, politiken.dk. The paper's design has won several international awards, and a number of its journalists have won the Cavling Prize.

Lykke Friis is Prorector for Education at the University of Copenhagen and is a former Danish politician for the party Venstre and former Minister for Climate and Energy and equal rights. Prior to her political career she has once before been Prorector at the University of Copenhagen and held the position from 2006 - 2009. Prior to her appointment as government minister, she was not a member of Venstre.
Nicolai Halby Wammen is a Danish politician of the Social Democrats who has been serving as Minister for Finance in the government of Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen since 2019. A native and lifelong resident of Denmark's second-largest city, Aarhus, he served as mayor. On the national level, he has served as Minister of European Affairs (2011–2013) and as Minister of Defence (2013–2015).
Bo Lidegaard is a Danish historian, public intellectual, and former responsible editor-in-chief for Politiken. Bo Lidegaard worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1984-2005), was Ministerial Counselor and Ambassador in the Prime Minister's Office (2005-2011), and on 26 April 2011 was appointed editor-in-chief of Politiken, succeeding Tøger Seidenfaden. Sara Hagemann is a Danish academic and an expert on international and European politics. She has published extensively on issues related to political processes and representation in the European Union, transparency in politics, and the role of national parliaments in international affairs. Sara is currently Professor of Political Science and Vice Dean at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Copenhagen University, where she joined in September 2021. Before then she was associate professor at the London School of Economics and Associate Dean at the LSE School of Public Policy and a faculty member of the LSE European Institute. Sara has also held positions as head of programme and policy analyst at the European Policy Centre's Political Europe Programme and the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels, senior fellow at the UK in a Changing Europe, and worked in the Danish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Kirsten Blinkenberg Hastrup is a Danish anthropologist and professor of anthropology at the University of Copenhagen. She has taken a special interest in the conjunction between the history and culture of both Iceland and Greenland, publishing widely on both, while also examining the relationship between the theatre and anthropology. Hastrup was president of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters from 2008 to 2016.
