William Holly Johnson is an English artist, musician, and writer, best known as the lead vocalist of Frankie Goes to Hollywood, who achieved huge commercial success in the mid-1980s. Prior to that, in the late 1970s he was a bassist for the band Big in Japan. In 1989, Johnson's debut solo album, Blast, reached number one in the UK albums chart. Two singles from the album – "Love Train" and "Americanos" – reached the top 5 of the UK Singles Chart. In the 1990s, he also embarked on writing, painting, and printmaking careers.
The Hollies are an English rock and pop band formed in 1962. One of the leading British groups of the 1960s and into the mid-1970s, they are known for their distinctive three-part vocal harmony style. Allan Clarke and Graham Nash founded the band as a Merseybeat-type group in Manchester, although some of the band members came from towns further north, in east Lancashire. Nash left the group in 1968 to form Crosby, Stills & Nash, though he has reunited with the Hollies on occasion.
Percy Tyrone Sledge was an American R&B, soul and gospel singer. He is best known for the song "When a Man Loves a Woman", a No. 1 hit on both the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B singles charts in 1966. It was awarded a million-selling, Gold-certified disc from the RIAA.
Jimmy Thomas was an American soul singer and songwriter. He was best known as a vocalist for Ike Turner. Thomas joined Turner's Kings of Rhythm in 1958, and remained with the band when the Ike & Tina Turner Revue was formed in 1960. He released solo singles on Turner's labels Sue, Sputnik, and Sonja Records. After his departure from Turner, Thomas continued recording as a solo artist, eventually relocating to London. He formed his own label, Osceola Records, in 1979.
Kee Marcello is a Swedish guitarist/vocalist, best known as the former guitarist in the hard rock bands Europe and Easy Action. He is currently pursuing his solo career.
Harold Allan Clarke is an English rock singer, who was one of the founding members and the original lead singer of the Hollies. He achieved international hit singles with the group and is credited as co-writer on several of their best-known songs, including "On a Carousel", "Carrie Anne", "Jennifer Eccles" and "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress". He retired from performing in 1999, but returned to the music industry in 2019. Clarke was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
Max Lorentz is a Swedish musician, songwriter and producer. He has also worked as a session-musician with artists including Ulf Lundell, Sanne Salomonsen, Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Skifs, E-Type, Eldkvarn, Grymlings, Pugh Rogefeldt and Magnus Lindberg, and has hosted the Swedish TV shows Max, Live Show and Musikmatchen, and appearing in Jeopardy! on TV4. He hosted the radio show Sommartoppen in 1996.
Susanne Alfvengren is a Swedish singer. In 1984, Susanne Alfvengren had a hit with När vi rör varann. Another of her hits was Magneter. She competed in Melodifestivalen 2009 with the song "Du är älskad där du går", which was knocked out from the contest after the semi-final. In 1986–1987, she scored a vocal duet hit with Mikael Rickfors, with "Som stormen river öppet hav". It peaked at number three on the Swedish Singles Chart.
Den sjunde vågen is the second studio album by Swedish singer-songwriter Marie Fredriksson, originally released on 17 February 1986 on LP and Cassette by EMI Sweden, with a CD release following on 29 October 1986. The album was a commercial success upon release, peaking at number six and spending almost three months on the Swedish Albums Chart. "Den bästa dagen" and "Silver i din hand" preceded the album as single releases: the b-sides from these singles served as bonus tracks when the record was later issued on CD.
Äntligen – Marie Fredrikssons bästa 1984–2000 is the first greatest hits compilation album by Swedish singer-songwriter Marie Fredriksson, released on 31 March 2000 by EMI. It was compiled by Fredriksson, and contains the majority of her singles, as well as several of her favourite album tracks. It was a commercial success upon release in her native country, spending eight weeks at number 1 on the Sverigetopplistan chart, and eventually being certified triple platinum by the Swedish Recording Industry Association for shipments of almost a quarter of a million units.
Terence Sylvester is an English musician and songwriter. He is a former member of the Escorts, the Swinging Blue Jeans (1966–1969), and the Hollies. In the latter role, he took on the high parts formerly sung by Graham Nash, who had left the band in December 1968.
Romany is the twelfth UK studio album by The Hollies, the first not to feature their lead singer Allan Clarke, who had left to embark on a solo career. He was replaced by Swedish singer Mikael Rickfors. In the opinion of contemporary and retrospective critics, this album moved the band further away from the original vocal harmony style of Allan Clarke, Tony Hicks and Graham Nash.

"Som stormen river öppet hav" is a song written by Susanne Alfvengren and Ulf Wahlberg, and recorded as a duet by Susanne Alfvengren and Mikael Rickfors. It was released as a single in 1986 for the 1987 Swedish film A Film About Love, with the song "Om kärlek" as the B-side. The single peaked at number three on the Swedish Singles Chart. It also charted at Svensktoppen for 29 weeks between 25 January to 25 October 1987.

Göran Bertil Lagerberg is a Swedish musician and singer-songwriter, best known as the bass guitarist and co-lead vocalist in Swedish rock band Tages and later progressive rock act Kebnekajse. In the 1990s, he was a member of supergroup Grymlings together with Magnus Lindberg, Pugh Rogefeldt and Mikael Rickfors.
Out on the Road is the 13th album by the British band The Hollies and the second to feature Mikael Rickfors as lead singer. The song "Slow Down Go Down" was released as a single in Australia and became a Top 100 hit. By the time the album was released in some European countries, the original singer Allan Clarke had returned to the band and the album was therefore not released in the UK and US. For this reason it is sometimes not listed in the official discography.
