Plot

In a laboratory in Sweden before Christmas 2020, the scientists Anna-Carin Davidsson-Colt and Vilgot develop an artificial black hole to be used as an energy source. The black hole is accidentally released and ends up in the attic of an residential care home for children where the orphan Mira lives. Mira is soon to be adopted, but does not want to be separated from her friend Galad.

Exactly [1] 100 years earlier (in 1920) and in the same building, then a mansion, the upper-class girl Rakel Colt is getting ready to be photographed with her family. Mira and Rakel both stumble upon the black hole and are involuntarily pulled in by it, switching bodies and time periods.

To raise awareness of global warming, Christmas of 1920 is depicted as snowy while in 2020, there is no snow on the ground.

Johan Magnus Glans is a Swedish stand up comedian and actor. He started doing stand up comedy in 1994, and has worked on Swedish TV with David Batra. In the spring of 2016, Johan Glans participated as team leader in SVT's new comedy program "Tror du jag ljuger?" together with Anna Mannheimer as program manager and Fredrik Lindström as team manager for the opposing team. Mysteriet på Greveholm was the 1996 Swedish SVT Christmas Calendar production. It was released on VHS in October 1997 and on DVD 19 November 2001. It was voted the best Julkalender ever in Aftonbladet in 2007. A video game with the same name was released in 1997, and two sequels in 1998 and 2000.

Sunes jul was the 1991 SVT Christmas calendar. In 2004, it was later released to DVD. In 2007, it was voted the third best Julkalender ever in Aftonbladet. It is based on the books series about the boy Sune by Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson.

Carin Mannheimer was a Swedish dramatist, screenwriter, author and film director, born in Osby, Sweden. She garnered acclaim with Rapport om kvinnor, which was published in 1969. The book is a collection of interviews with Swedish women from the working class. This was during a time period of awakening feminism in Sweden when women were assumed to want to work outside the home. The interviews, however, revealed that many women did not want to work outside the home, would have preferred to care for their children but had no economic choice. For this reason, Mannheimer was criticized by the women's movement in Sweden, and the book established her reputation as a social critic.

Berts ytterligare betraktelser is a diary novel, written by Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson and originally published in 1991, it tells the story of Bert Ljung from 1 September to 31 December during the calendar year he turns 13. The book uses the 1989 almanac following the Gregorian Calendar. As standard, Bert opens the chapters with the words "Hej hej hallå dagboken!" and finishes with "Tack och hej – leverpastej". Bert writes diary for each day during this calendar year, and most notes depicts what happened yesterday.
