Muslim Jamaath is a Kerala based Islamic organization In India, under the supervision of the All India Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama. [2] [3] [ failed verification ] This body acts as an apex body of various other organization and institutions which were following the ideologies of samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama [4]

Party's ideology and mission

"This is not a political party. We will not take any direct political role. Other than politics, we have lots of things to do for society. All should contribute for nation building," Muslim Jamaat leader Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad said when he announced the launch of the Kerala Muslim Jamaath in Malappuram Municipal Town Hall on 10 October 2015. Grand Mufti of India and a social activist, Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad has been elected as the President of the Kerala Muslim Jamaat. He also often says that education is the most powerful weapon in the fight against terrorism and was the first religious Muslim leader in India to issue a fatwa (religious decree) against the terror group Daesh. [2]

The organization rejects the Islamic extremism [7] [8] Jamat was in the broadcast regarding its strong opposes to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with citizen amendment act. [9] [10]

In an act of communal amity, the Cheravally Muslim Jamaath Committee, Kayamkulam, on January 19 hosted a Hindu marriage on the mosque premises. [11]

The origin of the term Jamaat is from the Arabic language: جماعتِ (meaning assembly).

Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen (KNM) is an Islamic organization in the state of Kerala founded in 1950. The organization is part of the Islamic reformist Mujahid Movement and follows the principles of Salafism. The Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen was formed as a result of renaissance activities among Keralite Muslims led by scholars and clerics such as Sheikh Hamadani Thangal, K.M. Moulavi and Vakkom Moulavi and E. Moidu Moulavi and Ummer Moulavi. Kerala Nadvathul Mujahideen is considered as the successor of Kerala Muslim Aikya Sangam, the first Muslim organization in the state of Kerala, founded in 1924. The Mujahid movement laid the foundations of Islamic renaissance in Kerala by campaigning against corrupted practices of the Sufi orders, superstitions, false beliefs, polytheism etc, and called for the revival of true Islamic practices to the Muslim community in Kerala which had until then been severely lacking in crucial aspects of religious and socio-civic knowledge. The Mujahids consider themselves as proponents of authentic Islamic reform, pursuing a purified concept of Tawhid.

Suprabhaatham (സുപ്രഭാതം) is a Malayalam daily newspaper owned and published by Kozhikode Iqrau Publications from Kozhikode on behalf of the Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama, a Sunni organisation based in Kerala. The daily publishing from Kerala, India. It is the first Malayalam daily to be published with six editions. The word " Suprabhaatham" translates to literally "auspicious dawn". It is among the most read leading newspapers in Kerala. The newspaper has various editions from Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kannur, Thrissur, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Palakkad in Kerala. The Grand Mufti of India is the most senior and influential religious authority of the Sunni Muslim Community of India. The incumbent is Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad, general secretary of All India Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama, who was conferred the title in February 2019 at the Gareeb Nawaz Peace Conference held at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi, organised by the All India Tanzeem Ulama-e-Islam.

Abdullah Moulavi was an Islamic scholar and leader of Jamate Islami in Kerala. He was known as the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami and Muslim educationist. After the demise of Haji Sahib, Abdullah Moulavi was the leader of Jamaat-e-Islami Kerala for 22 years between 1959 and 1990.

Dakshina Kerala Jami-yyathul Ulama is the principal Sunni-Shafi'i and Hanafi scholarly body in central and southern Kerala. The council administers mosques, institutes of higher religious learning and madrasas in central and southern Kerala.

Panakkad Sayed (Sayyid) Abbas Ali Shihab Thangal is a Sayyid (thangal) community leader from Kerala, India. He is the youngest son of Sayed Pookoya thangal, Panakkad. He holds various significant positions including Malappuram District President of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
