My Ticket Home is an American heavy metal band formed in 2008 from Columbus, Ohio. They have released two EPs and three full-length albums. Their first three releases exemplified metalcore and hardcore punk, while 2013's Strangers Only marked a departure into a style fusing both metalcore and nu metal; called nu metalcore, [3] as well as being called grunge. [4] The band refers to their newer music as "puke rock."

The album's musical style is a drastic departure from the post-hardcore and metalcore sound of the band's previous releases, instead showcasing a nu metal sound with only some elements of metalcore. It was the band's final album with Rise Records, after the band left the label and would later sign with Spinefarm Records.
