Paul Zbyszewski is an American television writer and producer. He has worked in both capacities on the series Lost and Day Break , and he is the creator of Day Break. He also wrote the feature film After the Sunset .

Career

Zbyszewski began working in television as a writer on the game show Weakest Link . His screenplay for After the Sunset (which he co-wrote with Craig Rosenberg) was released theatrically in 2004. Zbyszewski went on to create the ABC science fiction series Day Break, where he worked as a co-executive producer and writer for the show's short run in the 2006–2007 television season. He wrote the pilot as well as the episodes "What If They Run?", "What If She's Lying?" (with Henry Alonso Myers), "What If She's the Key?" (with Jeffrey Bell) and the series finale "What If It's Him?" (with Bell). In 2013–14, and 2014–15 Zbyszewski was executive producer or co-executive producer on all episodes of the new ABC hit drama, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Zbyszewski was a supervising producer and writer for the fifth season of Lost in 2009. [1] He co-wrote the episodes "Jughead" (with executive producer Elizabeth Sarnoff), [2] "Namaste" (with producer Brian K. Vaughn) [3] and "Follow the Leader" (with Sarnoff). [4] For their work on the fifth season of Lost, Zbyszewski and his co-workers were nominated for the Writers Guild of America Award for best drama series, an Emmy Award for outstanding drama series and the Producers Guild of America Award for outstanding episodic drama. He was promoted to co-executive producer for the sixth, final season. [6] He co-wrote three episodes with story editor Graham Roland; "Sundown", [7] "The Package" [8] and "The Last Recruit".

In May 2019, Zbyszewski was hired as showrunner and executive producer of a Helstrom series for Hulu, based on the Marvel Comics characters Daimon and Satana Hellstrom. [9]

Man in Black (<i>Lost</i>) Character from the American mystery fiction television series Lost

The unnamed fictional character most frequently referred to as The Man in Black is the main antagonist on the American ABC television series Lost. He appeared primarily as a cloud of black smoke until the final episode of season five where he appeared as a middle-aged man dressed in black. In season six, he primarily appeared in the physical form of John Locke. He exhibited the ability to "scan" the minds and memories of others, allowing him to confront characters such as Mr. Eko and Ben Linus, with "judgement", and to assume the forms and memories of the deceased, starting with the original Man in Black himself, his brother Jacob, or Christian Shephard, Yemi, Alex Rousseau, and Locke. Jean Higgins is an American television and film producer. She has worked on the series Lost and CSI: Miami. She won an Emmy Award for outstanding drama series at the September 2005 ceremony for her work on the first season of Lost. She also won a Producers Guild of America Award for television producer of the year in episodic for the first season.

Jacob is a fictional character of the ABC television series Lost played by Mark Pellegrino. He was first mentioned as the true leader of the Others by Ben Linus and was described as a "great man" that was also "brilliant", "powerful" and "unforgiving". He made his first appearance in the final episode of season five. Despite being killed in that episode, he continued to appear as a spirit, as well as in flashbacks in the episodes "Ab Aeterno" and "Across the Sea".
