Musaffah Port is an Abu Dhabi Ports' port located in the industrial area of Musaffah south west of the city of Abu Dhabi. The deepwater Musaffah Port and Musaffah Channel include a general cargo terminal at the northwest corner of the Musaffah Industrial Area, as well as an extensive waterfront nearly 40 km long that is occupied by numerous private berths and terminals. Created in 1981, it now counts with over 35 thousand vehicles on its fleet and more than 26 thousand employees. It transports 250 thousand children to school on a daily basis.
Shah is a petroleum installation and freight railway station in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi Emirate. It is connected by a 264 km long freight railway line to the Ruwais industrial area. The railway was opened in 2015 as the first stage of the Etihad Rail network, and is used to transport granulated sulphur, a by-product of the petroleum industry to export facilities on the Gulf of Arabia.
