The season was filmed in Acapulco, in compliance with local CDC Guidelines related to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the first series that does not include the original cast members Luis Caballero, Luis Méndez, Manelyk González, Tadeo Fernández and Talía Loaiza, as well as Rocío Sánchez and Xavier Ulibarrí. Cast members were announced ahead of the series, including Cristal Felix, Guilherme Evaristo, Jessica Barros, Juliana Casaes, Kevin Jolsan, Natallia Fromaggeri, Patrick Salles, Ricardo Salusse and Vitória Araújo, and renowned star De Férias com o Ex y Acapulco Shore, Matheus Crivella.
The second series of Rio Shore, a Brazilian television programme based in Rio de Janeiro was confirmed on 15 February 2021. It was filmed in January and February 2022 in Joá. The first sneak peek of the season was released on April 28, 2022. This is the first series to include fourth new cast members, including Aoxi, Cayo Rodrigues, Maryane Valim and William Guimarães. The show began on June 9, 2021.
The third series of Rio Shore, a Brazilian television programme based in Rio de Janeiro was begun on June 15, 2023, on MTV. It was filmed in February 2023. The cast was revealed in May 2023, half of the cast from the previous season not returning to the show.
