The Rock N Resort Music Festival was an annual, three-day music festival in mid-July hosted and produced by Clay's Park Resort in North Lawrence, Ohio, 50 miles (80 km) south of Cleveland. The festival showcased national recording artists, tribute bands, indie artists and solo performers on multiple stages, covering a variety of musical styles, though primarily reflecting a classic rock theme. Other events held during the festival included drum circles, campsite contests, new musical product demonstrations, educational seminars for young musicians, and charity events. Attendees say that aside from the music, the main draws of the festival are the party atmosphere and the friendships made by festival goers that met every year.
The Wanderlust Festival is a yoga summer festival first held in Squaw Valley in July 2009. The event, announced in May 2009, featured a musical lineup featuring Michael Franti, Spoon, Broken Social Scene, and Girl Talk, and featured a yogi lineup including John Friend, Shiva Rea, Schuyler Grant, Elena Brower, Christy Nones, and Annie Carpenter. Wanderlust has grown from the first festival in Squaw Valley to seven festivals in the United States and Canada in 2015.
Boxerstock is an all-day music festival, benefiting Atlanta Boxer Rescue. Boxerstock was founded in 2008 and is held every fall in Marietta, Georgia. It features an entire day of live music from local and nationally known performers. It is a family event and although the event supports the rescue and rehabilitation of Boxers, dogs of all breeds are always welcome. The festival is put on by over 150 volunteers and attracts crowds in the thousands from all over the Southeast.
Norman Music Festival (NMF) is an annual three-day American music festival created by Robert Ruiz, Wilmari Ruiz, Marta Burcham, Jim Wilson, Quentin Bomgardner, Kent Johnson, Jonathan Fowler, and Xian Pitt that takes place in downtown Norman, Oklahoma. Each year the festival highlights performances from many different genres of music. The festival includes both indoor and outdoor venues with musicians performing throughout the days and nights. Founded in 2008, the music festival has grown to include food and art from local vendors. In 2013 an estimated 60,000 people attended the festival, which is free to the public. A business survey conducted by the Norman Arts Council during the same year estimated the economic impact of NMF to the city of Norman to be in excess of $2.5 million.
